(Thanks Tyrone! Italian and Romanian values won't differ much, just checked. I don't think you got it through any easier than I will.
It appeared that when my units have so low status, it won't cost much to repair them. So I'll go forward. I'll try to get one attachment per every post. At least for now. One thing noticed: Replacements get German names, so they have to be edited manually. I play with "Medium Battle," "True Troop ON/Rarity OFF" and "AI Advantage OFF."
Thanks for the feedback all!)

The pleasure was all ours, Korpraali.

Could you check one more thing? One thing that I noticed when I played the Italians in the long campaign was not only did the replacements have German names (which needed to be changed) but also their statistics (experience and morale) reflected German soldiers instead of Italian. Are you playing with 8.403 and the programmers conventions? I wonder if that fixed the problem I was having?

The battle is over. Soviet forces flee from the field leaving behind some tanks with just their tracks lost. Some tank crews – appr. ten men from destroyed/abandoned/immobilized tanks – surrender to Romanian victors. From them Romanian forces will get valuable information about Soviet tanks and tactics. Especially from Soviet leader pukovnik Fjodorov. Also have to mention another valuable POW, kapitan Semenov, commander of ligh tank company. His BT-5 was immobilized to the middle of the burning forest. Poor kapitan is in shock and is very thankful to Romanian soldiers who saved him from the raging fire. This was hard baptism of fire for Karl’s Romanians. Almost half of them are reported either WIA, MIA or KIA. But the survivors have learned a lot. Attackers consisted about two armored battalions: three infantry companies and three tank companies + one artillery battery.

Today’s heroes:
- Survivors of the forest: Leader of Engineer company, Câpitan Madgearian (9 kills) and Sergent Buturuga (1 kill), leader of R-35 tank. Buturuca is promoted to Sublocotenent and assigned to lead the I armored platoon after the death of its CO.
- Leader of III armored platoon, leader of right flank and the capturer of Polkovnik Fjodorov: Locotenent Radulescu (8 kills).
- Leader of II armored platoon, part of the left flank: Locotenent Gheorghiu (9 kills).
- Delayer of Soviet spear, leader of 47mm AT gun: Sergent Losca (5 kills).
- Squad leader of second engineer platoon: Sergent Sincia (7 kills).

Romanian losses: 296 men, 3 artillery, 3 AFVs (6757 points DV)

Soviet losses: 542 men, 2 artillery, 1 soft vechile, 62 AFVs (971 points CD)

Attachment: The burning forest after the battle. Well over 100 bodies and at least twenty tank hulks.

Wonderful report! Congrats on the DV! I was expecting much worse based on your reports. Your Romanians performed well! They should be proud.

In the 'Reply to Message' screen there is this small text saying "Click here to upload!". It lets you find the wanted file from your computer.

Oh yes, korpraali. DV with the Romanians is a rare pleasure.
Don't be shocked, I AM funny.

I'm playing with 8.4. After first replacements it seems that only new names are German. Replacements seem to be quite similar than the lost troops had been = green ones in this case. Have to keep that in mind and check it always. But it seems that when I lose more experienced troop, also replacement will be more experienced and vice versa. Could it have something to do with "Characteristics ON/OFF"?

Thanks! Oberstleutnant Karl is very proud of his men! I was very surprised when I saw the details. I had expected something like MV. Loosing green troops seems not to cost much. And the Soviet tank losses...[X(] I don't know how... My own gun crews are so green that they leave the gun immediately after being fired at. That kept them alive in some cases. After all I think the biggest thing was getting those VHs - only valuables in the field (if HQs are not counted). We'll see what happens next...

Is it difficult to get the screen shots? I used a program that Jess recommended called the "Ultima Online Screenshot Utility" UOSU, (http://www.hh.iij4u.or.jp/~kmatuoka/uosu/indexe.html) to get the shots. It works pretty well, but takes some level of sophistication to operate. Is there an easier way?

Excellent result - I'm glad that there were not only survivors but victors!

I use UOSU too. Haven't find anything else. All the files just have to be opened with "Paint" etc. and to be converted from BMP -files to JPEG -files so that they'll become smaller and can be uploaded here. Could be better, but it works.
