Downloaded IE7 last night and using it now. Seems much better than 6, loads faster and maybe it's just me but my PC seems to start faster too. Not sure how MS got round the copyroght laws with this one though...

Since it is only a beta yet I woulnd't use it as your standard browser.

What does everyone think about Thunderbird for Email?

I was using it and was quite happy with it versus MS Outlook.

However, I switched to Gmail and stopped using all other e-mail clients.

BTW... gmail is still in beta and accounts are by invitation only. I have about 80 invitations left if anyone wants to send me their current e-mail addresses in a PM, I'll send you an invite to G-Mail. Gmail is free, of course, and offers about 2 1/2 gigabytes of online storage which is quite useful for storing photos or backing up files.

I like it other than the fact that, though it will recieve from multiple accounts, it will only use one outgoing server.

I use it on a USB stick as mobile email client. You simply install it to the stick and run it from there, that's it.
I find it okay, not overly impressive but it works good.

If they make a version with a better adress book and implement Sunbird (the calendar) directly to it I´m game.

One other bug that annoys me with firefox on XP, is if you open a new tab, the first one always gets the page it's on re-directed somewhere else.

Uh, I've never experienced anything like that with FireFox. I open a link in a new tab (or just initiate a new window) all my existing tabs stay exactly how I left them.

If this is happening to you, there is something seriously wrong with your setup (or O/S). Maybe it's time to reinstall Windows? Or wipe Firefox and reinstall from scratch.

I'm not aware of any configuration options that would force FireFox to behave in the manner you describe.

Yep, I use tabs A LOT and never experienced this, not even when Firefox was still called Firebird [;)]
