Still playing FPS Pro 98, along with many, which is a huge compliment to how good the game is given the amount of time that has gone by since it was supported.
Madden is pretty CFL_Fan_7, but FPS Pro is the true meat and potatoes. I don't care about pretty, I want flexibility and the tools to design plays and make a difference.
I was reading through the FBPro manual the other (needed something while doing a #2

, and still cannot believe how much thought, detail, and intelligence was biult into that game back then. Oh where it would be today...
Maximum Football is the future gents...

If Sierra was never sold I think we would still have Fbpro today.
Vivendi killed off alot of successfull games like Leisure Suit Larry and a much anticipated Lord of the Rings Game that never made it to the shelves. Also a Basketball game that was gonna be like fbpro
Forgot about Basketball Pro, I think they had a forum up right before they moved off to to Bull Riding Pro insted.

I remember seeing a screen shot of both Baseball Pro 99 and Basketball Pro 99, I beleive both games were going to use a very similar engine as Football Pro 99.

Not really. Games may use playbooks based on an NFL style, but none of them are even close to an NFL playbook. NFL playbooks are huge, and no coach would give up their playbook to any game company. I am sure B.C. and Old Coach can back me on this.

Well they actually are, it's the exact same(unless plybook changes in middle of the season)
-Don't you notice how all the teams have a different playbook?
