Wow. It's something to actually see combat footage. Thats one thing about a lot of shows, the "combat" shown is staged recreations of what happened, not what happened. That was something seeing some Tigers knocked out by strafing runs by P47s.

I saw a documentary about combat photographers once. I never realized that re-creations were fairly common in WWII. I was disappointed to hear it. One of the offenders later became a famous Hollywood director. I forget his name though. Anyone know who I'm talking about?
