hmmm, was hopeing Harley would jump in here, since all I do is scream   but he got more info on how the timeing is going   but we in the middle of getting all the stuff relined up and getting all the buttons to button and pages to open and close and stuff nobody cares about except when it don't work   hopeing we can start up a more detail and explaining what is going on in a bit   but that should come with the next verison we working on

well, given I'd answered the query in another thread in the preceding 12 hours, I decided not to answer again. You know how I feel about the sufference of medieval court entertainers...

Some points to make guys:

1.) This is not a project with eleventy billion staff members like a AAA+ title such as Company of Heroes or Silent Hunter 4. The staff basically consists of AFAIK, Harley and Hard Sarge plus a few others; who can't devote 100% of their time to the project. So things will be going slow.

2.) Because of the way the project is run, things will hang up the project until they're completed. For example; in a typical AAA+ title, 3D modelling can continue while the UI and AI is being programmed. In wargames like these, it's the UI and AI, along with combat resolution which have to be tested. An idea that sounded great, and looked decent on paper might turn out to be absolutely crappy when it's implemented, so it goes; which does take up time...

Anyway, another thing I just remembered about the project is this: The Source code is essentially a decade out of date; and is likely to not be that well documented; so before anything can be done, the team has to dig through the spaghetti code, and figure out what does what; you can see how difficult this can be by looking at the SPCAMO team; even though they'd been working with the source for SP2 since 1999, it still took them an entire year or so to convert it to windows.

I'm only doing this so you know there's at least one other person waiting...
