They probably had B.A. Baracus with them; give that man a welding torch and there's nothing he can't take apart and put back together...

What are peoples thoughts on this sub transport thing to save unit cadres is it gamey or not?

IRL were units reformed after they surrendered at Singapore, the Phillipines etc...?

Started looking at this some, although i don't see a specific write up about it. The Dutch made a point of getting out Av. Maint. Units which they used later (according to Bloody Shambles). At least some USA PI units were gotten out and used later, esp. HQ and Intel units. In real organization, at least early in the war, Av Maint units tended to be part of the Air Unit, not a fully separate organization.

Unfortunately, the way the game organizes support units it is hard to figure out who really represents what. As far as i can tell, some of the Medical Units became cadres later on, while some were used to fill out existing units.

I think in real life, if a unit is destroyed, it can be reformed at a later date with new faces but the same history/tradition of the original unit. You don't have that option in this game so if you want to keep a unit cadre to recreate/rebuild the unit I say go 4 it.

That's my 2 cents...

That quip about being as useful as a trap door on a submarine comes to mind. Personal theory: guys just keep falling out the bottom and no one notices (hence the minus).

I'd hate to be the guys riding in the tubes.
