Thanks for the info and the quick response. Good to hear some of those requests will be adressed via a free update. I have another question I couldn't find the answer to after reading the threads: does the player has the possibility to access directly to his units, via a roster or any kind of OoB listing page (à la SP, where you click on a unit's name to access it on the field)? It's one of the main annoyance in the CM series that's never been addressed and a real show stopper to me (that and the lack of real campaign games). I read there's a N shortcut (and probably a P, as well) to cycle through units and that's worrying me [:)] Is this the only way to do it?

Ho, by the way, I forgot... : I downloaded the trailers to see what it looks like in motion but, is there any demo version planned to be released someday?

Yes, absolutely. The bottom center of the display is your OOB listing of all your units. Clicking on them selects the units, double-clicking moves to it. They are crossed out when destroyed, highlighted when a platoon/unit is selected and highlighted differently when under fire. I'll typically double-click on units under fire to move to them and see what's going on as I play.

Yes, but not until later this summer, after the first update.

What can I say?! This is no quick response anymore, it's lightning repartee! [&o]
This game is scoring more and more points on my whishlist and the announcement of an upcoming demo is definitely a great news!!! I'll probably order it (together with OpWar 3) as soon as I have the opportunity to play with the demo for a moment. Thanks a lot for the update.

By the way, it's completely out of topic but the State you're living in makes me dream about! I can't see the word "Vermont" without thinking of an old song that I love: "Moonlight in Vermont".
Maybe you know about it and the great lady who used to sing it, Billie Holiday? [&o]

I guess that's the kind of (apparently) insignificant things that makes us, europeans, think about America with such a special feeling. Something like some sort of fondness, that often soften the tensions between our nations. The human nature is really weird [:D]

No, it's quite correct - I really do like it as a phrase! [:)]

Absolutely, sure - I was just listening to her sing the other night driving back from the office on our Vermont Public Radio.

Well, the personal and the international are fortunately quite different. [8D] America is nothing if not full of European history, names and cultures. I imagine it must be a fascinating mix if you haven't grown up here. I'm first generation, so my family is still quite European (from Latvia, refugees from WWII) at the same time as I'm quite American (but also with Latvian mixed in). Anyway, here's a link for a few Vermont pics if you're interested:

Now, to get this thread back on track...

Ahhhh!, the real truth comes out. Another 1st gen. like myself...interesting!
Latvia...and i thought a pure German(blond/blue eyes[;)]0 and Russian Lithuanian mix of parents who were both born in the early 20's was odd enough. Like i tell my kids...what IS an "American?"...the land of the free...everything and everyone.[:)]
