WESTPAC for HCCE?

Thank you CV.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get the WESTPAC Battleset installed into HC2002, and if so where I can obtain it?
I own both HC2002 & H3 ANW, and I see WESTPAC is available in H3, but I much prefer HC 2002 due too the interface. If not available for HC 2002 now, will WESTPAC be included in HCCE 2005?
Thanks in advance

WestPac cannot be added to HC2002. It can be added (beta version) to HC Gold (if you have the EC2003 battlesets you have HC Gold). Hmm, it looks like AGSI has removed that download (WestPac beta). Anyway, WestPac will be a part of HC2005 having the same feel as HC2002. More fun to come after release

Yes I have HC Gold, I get confused with all of the different versions. Bummer that the Westpac Beta download was pulled, guess I'll have to wait for HC 2005 (or HCCE or whatever the proper label should be). If anyone knows where I can access the Westpac Beta download, please reply. Thanks all!

File: hcg-gesescdb-2003.15.exe.zip, size is 3094kb.
This appears to be the Westpac upgrade based on other discussions in another list
I need to look for it myself but I'm sure I have it. If I ever get organized I could be dangerous.

Thanks Skip. Please let me know if you can find anything (and get an OK to pass it over).
If not, I'll wait for HCCE. Thanks for the effort.

Skip, thanks to your help with the file names, I found a HCG-wpac-2003.16b3.exe to ftp, and got the westpac battleset installed. Thanks again for your help.

If you get to the point of wanting a current HCDB that works in 2003.16b3, give me a holler, it can be backfitted, then you can play all of the HCDB scens on HarpGamer.

The word from DonG, aka UncleHarpoon, is that the WestPac beta patch should not be distributed.
Tony's commentary: It is a beta, and outdated at that, with the release of HCE arriving 'soon', spreading around older betas isn't looked upon too kindly. imho Reasonable, even if the WestPac beta is cool and a nice jump over HC Gold.

Ok Justascratch, what's your next prediction, we just got beta 19 a few days ago if that helps you in guessing...

[8D] Not a problem - That's why I didn't just send him the file. Anyway the file I found woiuldn't have helped him. Didn't run when I installed it to make sure it was ok. [X(]
Beta 19 eh - Looks like a birthday present for me [;)] (Late May) All I want is a good program that works. Course a mission plan tool would be nice to but ...................

I'm getting tired of being wrong so I'm going to reverse my strategy & turn my crystal ball upside down.
My new prediction is that HCE will not be released by March 12, 2007
I'm feeling smug and self important right now & just daring the production team to knock me off my pedestal!

Haha, that's a nice twist on the guessing.

I am really looking forward to this game, but I notice that Matrix doesn't even have it in the "Coming Soon" or "In Development" categories. Games often are a year away even after they reach those categories. Does anyone have any comment on this ?
Other than the forum, the only reference I can find to HCCE on the Matrix website is a picture of the box in the sidebar, if you go to the description of Harpoon 3,

Hi Smitty,
I cannot speak for Matrix (publisher) but I do see each build as it comes out from AGSI (developer). Some very welcome news is that we've had two builds in two weeks, if Fletcher (programmer) can possibly keep up that pace, the release will be quite soon ('gold' code end of March maybe possibly, let's hope). Even without the current pace continuing, it will not be yet another year until release.
There seem to be only a couple of really annoying bugs left, there will be things to improve after release, but then aren't there always. The game plays well now, doesn't crash and leave you mad, etc. Fletcher in beta 20 took care of what will hopefully be the last crash bug before release.
