Believe me, I've looked.

That famous pic of the B-25 dropping on the "small escort" is the closest that I've seen, where anyone has even attempted to id the vessel. I've seen it labeled as several different subchasers, and as as a PG. But only in ones and twos, and nothing to coorrobberate against.

It's either an outhouse, or more likely, a trash dump.

Notice the chute that extends down from it. Also notice, on the dry dock floor, a container (ancestor of the dumpster?) can barely be seen in the photo, placed to catch the debris that drops down.

The chute is to remove any "arc" to dropped stuff. (Thrown trash will retain a little lateral momentum, and may miss the dumpster.)

Roofers use that sort of thing too when working on taller buildings...
