My engineers riding on tanks were the vanguard out in front of the trucks bearing the regular infantry and support heavier equipment.

The paras made mincemeat out of the guns and mortar crews, and managed to muster a beutiful subfront to squeeze the retreating japs between my advancing core forces.

My breaking down my forces into small strike and dash formations with absinions and morrocan and bedowine foot infantry preform flanking withdrawls into my core forces entrenchment line

Nice constant flow of northwesterly movement from the enemy which produced an extreme amount of BANZAI charges to contend with

I'm now on my turn 16 of the Buna Pass battle and its getting tough, eventhou I did another para drop my front line in sections for this assault will never make their objectives.

One thing I hadn't considered before is how the japanese can do banzai "CHARGES" while still receiving their entrenched and fortified status bonuses? low value VH's but high value fannatical defence?

Mines upto 4 hexes deep!! entrenched troops and small mortars,embedded caves,bunkers,blockhouses,and the 14 visablity allows them to converge fire over the boundry of the minefield.
