I would like to create a big mess on his rear: past Pskov, then towards Riga perhaps... IF he doesn't protect his rear I will be doing that. Why not? [8D]

Maybe it's just my dirty mind but you've got an obsession about protecting rears.

It looks like a nice pocket!

Now time to spank that unprotected rear!

Yes, it's your "dirty mind" [:D] What can I say... not my fault if my opponent did not protect his right flank whilst he was advancing towards Leningrad [:)] I hope I'll be destroying at least some units and --why not-- robbing his wallet, wristwatch and socks too

Ok, now I am more or less satisfied [8D] I will obviously detrain these hordes.

I hadn't paid attention to my Northwest barricade. He is sending at least two (or possibly three) divisions to obviously help in the south [8D]

This turn I was not sure about what to do around Smolensk: stay or leave [&:] The truth is don't like to push my luck... but I also think that I should distract his Panzer units around Smolensk... I don't want them to help in the north, if you know what I mean. So I have 3-units stacks in front of them and let's see what happens. I guess he should surround some forces now. Oh well... If that's the price I have to pay, it's ok

In the other fronts: Southwestern and Southern that is, I think I will be more or less emulating Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus AKA Cunctator [:D] The Roman guy appointed dictator after many disasters (caused by Hannibal, of course)... who er... was famous for er... avoiding combats [8D] Stay away from the panzers! Mud is around the corner!

EDITED: hmm, this needs a correction. I think I've been this Cunctator guy since the beginning of the game [:D]

Southwestern Front, in front of his AGS Panzers [8D] Here I have spent quite many administrative points to attach the units to their correct Army HQs. I did the same in the north, with the SW units relocated: now they are attached to the STAVKA itself. And YES, as you can see I am running away! [8D] The cemetery is full of heroes...

And finally the Southern Front. I would say he is very weak here, so I will be staying [8D]

It's still Summer of 1941, right?

I give your opponent props for hanging in this game, but this is a beating. I shudder to think what the winter will look like for the Axis.

I think you have played a very good game, but your opponent is making some serious errors, starting with that cluster up North. I think you need to find a better opponent.

Yes, summer 1941. We (me and my opponent) are noobs, obviously. Hmm, I have to be loyal. As long as he does not give up we should continue. He is the one who has to say "hey, I'm screwed, I guess we should stop here etc. etc.". I don't want to bring this issue on my next email (I don't want to offend him, who knows). And above all, we should not sell the skin etc. etc. In other words, he should have the last word [8D]

Turn 15
25 september 1941

Now yes, I think I can oficially say that the Army Group North is on the run [8D] Now the defensive values of the trapped units are very very low!

ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!
He's retreating part of his forces NW of Pskov and he's brought (finally!) reinforcements: 2 Panzer divisions...

Your doing well. The German player has real problems. I am at the same point in our pbem as the Germans, bagged 2.2million and 10k planes. I think he ought to be be encircling you and destroying your manpower. Not the other way around in 41 LOL [:)]

He's finally managed to isolate Smolensk. At snail's pace so I am happy (he's been around this town since hmm turn 6 or so) [8D] He hasn't tried to storm the town though. I guess he learned the hard way in Odessa (which finally fell this turn by the way).

In the Southwestern Front (southern part) he might want to swallow some of my forces. I'll be avoiding it if I can, obviously.
