First off, very small sample size, particularly for those identifying with an exclusive news source. The error was so large as to be inestimable, but >3.5% margin of error in either case.

Of course, the article is in the Los Angeles Times, a newspaper that rarely misses an opportunity to target conservatives in any guise.

Later in the article, MSNBC viewers and other cable news viewers are called out for their ignorance, "And it seems Jon Stewart may be more reliable than cable news anchors. On Occupy Wall Street, the survey found viewers of "The Daily Show" were 12 percentage points more likely to say protesters were predominantly Democratic. MSNBC viewers were the most likely to say the protesters were mainly Republicans."

Why doesn't the headline read that MSNBC viewers are morons? Couldn't have anything to do with the common idealogy (read: liberalism) shared by these the LA Times and it, could there? Nah...it's gotta be that Fox News viewers = morons.

Yellow biased muck raking journalism writ large.

Yeah - what were the poll questions and the "correct" answers? Polls are notorious for being constructed with a certain end in mind and manipulating questions to ensure that end.

Some people who listen to PBS in their car commuting developed a game to play with PBS news shows. They listen in the car, and try to figure out what actually happened before they get home to read about it.

I am very likely the only person in my entire building at work today.  All of the salaried employees get a 4 day weekend.  I'm just an hourly contractor, so I'm lucky that my boss let me work 4 x 10 hour days this week so my paycheck won't be short.  [:D]

Well...no one will see you get that turn done then, will they? [;)]

Leo, the only coffee we have at work is a massive 100 cup industrial brewer, and I'm the only one here today, so it's empty. We do have teabags provided, which I occasionally enjoy, but today I'm drinking tea exclusively. Image

Nothing wrong with that. It's good for you and tastes better than coffee [:D]

That's a matter of opinion.

I have to say that my experience of tea over your side of the pond has not been great. Earl Grey seems to be the usual option, or even Yorkshire Tea [8|]. What do thse flat-cap wearing whippet owning pigeon fanciers know about tea? [:D] Whereas everyone knows that Assam is the choice of champions.
