Major river are still not frozen so part of my front is forced to wait. Rest do their job well.
I managed to herd 1 inf regiment.

Without reinforcements I won't be able to achieve anything meaningful here.

He's withdrawing from the wrong places if he's pulling out in the north (Ok, it might be supply related)
Most of his troops in the Crimes are toast unless he's got something Panzer related to push you back again.
You can do some real damage here if he hangs around in the centre and south (I doubt he will though)

In Crimea apart from panzers he has Romanian mountain units so inflicting any damage is impossible.

In the north and centre Saper stand his ground (apart from minor withdrawal east of Tula). In the south however his retreat is a bit more dynamic. Apart from the fact that he moved up to 3 hexes backwards he managed to remind me that I am far from being invincible - two tanks brigades were beaten.
Unfortunately captured infantry regiment managed to re-establish his route to safety.

That breakthrough northwest of Voroshilovgrad is pretty sweet. Not clear to me why he hung out south of Rostov so long, presumably he already triggered the AG activation.
Imo, you ought to reinforce the Ryazan-Tula area, especially with cav. You can more easily lever him away from Moscow by working the flanks. A cavalry shock army here would do wonders...

What does that mean? Triggered the AG activation?
Also, is there any rumor that there is a patch or change in the wind for the game to reduce the massive carpets of units that currently characterize the game?
Thanks

Main attack will be conducted at the base of Tula bulge.

Yes. Another Army Grooup arrives.

"Mighty" Red Army manages to win two battles. Hurrah.
Ii will be hard to repeat this achievement in the future - NW front lost few more divisions - transferred to Moscow area.

Push west and south-west continues and not without successes - front is less linear now and encircling opportunities should appear soon.
To maintain momentum I have to continue "cannibalising" troops.

Quality of reinforcements that are being send to Voronezh area is poor, but at the moment it should do. 2 cav corps will spearhead my advance.

Saper is nicely pushed back and have few regiments are encircled, but I guess my attacking units will soon face tougher oppositions - both German mountain divisions are here.

He looks to have many regiments and I assume this was done to take advantage of the Reserve rules. Could you provide some details on how many battles you are seeing him trigger Reserves and how much this is affecting your overall plans? Thanks!

German reserves appear in few battles only (1 per 15-20), and usually it is whole division.

None significant withdrawals almost along whole front - hex here or there, with exception of area north of Stalino.

I have question. In lots of battles my sappers do not do their job properly. 3 sapper regiments and eng value 0, is it normal?

Not exactly the most successful winter offensive here.
But to be honest I am not worried.

I am very pleased with developments in Moscoe area.
Saper is pushed out of initial defensive line and numerous cavalry formations are able to lock his units in ZOCs. Herding has began
Push towards Tula looks promising.

I keep applying pressure and sending reinforcements. They are low quality unfortunately so impact of new troops' arrival is limited.

Temptation is too big. I will try my luck and attempt to trap Saper forces against the sea.
Most of the units that were marching west changed direction of advance towards south-west.
Unfortunately important attack just east of Stalino was beaten back (this is the screen-shot with eng value 0 despite 3 sapper regiments), but I don not loose hope. Mental stimulation provides fact of capturing 20k Germans.
