I pushed the end turn button and that started the NFL side's turn. Here's an attack at the DMZ that cost me a little bit.

The next attack in the same spot ended in a disaster for the Allies.

Round three in the combat phase and the disaster continues:

I felt that it was prudent to pull everybody back to the next river to the south. A new front line backed up w/ arty and a lot of air support.
I still feel the need for the additional marines and maybe some more arty. That's a project in the works still.

I almost forgot to post the new turn threat picture. This is what the NLF threat looks like in T12:

Here's the situation WNW of Da Nang. I moved the 1st Recon Bn and came upon some rocket arty which is in range of two NVA main
force regiments. I don't have the manpower present in the AO to adequately handle the situation so I'm going to have to helicopter in
some more boots on the ground. I've moved up some arty within range and I'm pounding them w/ air strikes also. But the pressing need
is more boots on the ground.

An air strike on the NVA units in the valley west of Da Nang.

An airstrike on enemy unit(s) in the far south, the delta region.

An ARVN squadron of F-5's hits an NVA arty unit near the DMZ:

And some NVA units were struck by Allied Arty along w/ some F-4's and some good results were obtained.

And the 1st VC Regiment feels the wrath of the Allies:

The VC lost a lot of squads but I lost a lot of Cobra's. This little expedition got expensive real fast.

An air strike on a VC unit which costs me 3 F-100's

NOTE TO CURT: Um....I understand that you're going to make an update to Campaign for South Vietnam sometime in the near
future and I'm wondering how hard it would be to incorporate the O-1 FAC's or the O-2 FAC's that shot rockets into the target area to
designate the specific target that the fighter-bombers were to strike. They were unsung heros if you ask me.

Arty fire and air strikes on the leftmost NVA regiment

And the rightmost stack of NVA stuff evaporated from the attack launched by the marines, arty, and air strikes.

New turn new threat picture. Here's all the visible NLF threats. There's lots of invisible ones as well. During the NLF turn I heard the
sound of marching men so I know there's some invisible ones too.

And this attack finishes that NVA division on the border.

How plausibly "realistic" is this scenario, in your opinion? Based on your first-hand experience.

Also, what version of TOAW are you using to play it? I assume 3.4. (With the unofficial AA patch?)

I'm seeing more aircraft and helicopter losses than I "feel" are valid. I have no proof and I'm aware that I probably have an Allied bias
going on here and it's just a vague feeling rather than evidencial conviction. And that technique of selecting an aircraft unit and then
mousing around looking for bad guys seems to be cheating but I'm not going to stop using it.

There are two separate versions of 3.4.0.202 that have been modified for the unofficial AA patch and I'm using the second and latest
version of that. I thought about using 3.5 but thought that might have been seen as rubbing it in and I decided against that.
