The Japs make a couple of minor moves and disembark the Inf at Shanghai.

The Germans head east and west.

The Stukas and an Me-109 rebase to the Belgium border. The Ju-88 goes to Amsterdam.

Von Rundstedt reorgs an Art and Inf and a Stuka. Balbo reorgs the Nav.

On a 5 the turn continues.

A 4 moderates the weather a touch.

J/F 1940 Allied 11

I hope turn ends or Germany will most likely get double turn and enter deep to Belgium.

Allied intelligence officers are confused about German plans, maybe they won't do 1940 Barbarossa. The only difference between German and USSR actions is, that Germany confuses enemies, USSR confuses everyone, even them selves.

No DoW.

US pass, CW combined, all others land.

CW moves battleships from Malta to Bay of Biscay. A cruiser goes to Italian Coast box 4, ready to slow down Italian ships and die trying.

Allied are not willing to initiate combat in North Sea, but they try it in Baltic Sea.

Does Germany want to join the party with Me109?

Naval search: Allied 5, Axis 6. No combat in Baltic Sea.

France sends air forces for strategic bombing missions over Stuttgart and Nuremberg. Does He112 want to intercept?

He112 lands back to Nuremberg?

May as well. At least they'll have stopped the +1 modifier for an unopposed bomb run.

Nuremberg roll 5, no effect. Stuttgart factory in flames with roll 11!

CW rails Delhi MIL to Calcutta. France rails INF divs to Metz and Lyons. USSR rails Zhukov and artillery to Harbin. France is ready to take full scale attack and USSR is setting troops to German border for maximum garrison value.

1st, 3rd and 4th Siberian INF corps prepares to attack Tsisihar in Manchuria with some risk. CW debarks AA gun to Brest.

Great result for brave Siberians! I was only a little worried to get result 14 and expected to lose one unit...

REBASE
USSR rebases planes to German border. CW rebases Whitley to Cairo.

France Reorganizes bomber just in case.

With roll 9 turn does not end. I sense some problems now... US get ready to be annoyed!

Italy decides with two unguarded CW Trans in Egypt nicely within range of the Nav, now might be the time for a 'surprise' DoW against the CW. The question is, which port to attack? The Queens or a 4-4 Trans? What will the US media make of this?

Apparently, they are starting to take note as an entry chit is drawn.

Germany combined, Italy naval, Japan land.

Italy sends a port attack to Suez to strike the Queens. The Italian pilots jubilantly claim multiple hits on the two liners, leaving them sinking. It subsequently turns out many were in fact near misses. The liners are heavily damaged but remain afloat. The CW surprise roll is a 7. All surprise points are used to increase the combat results to an X.

J/F 1940 Axis 14: Naval movement

4 Italian CL head into the Italian Coast. The CW attempts to intercept, using the CL Cardiff. On an 8 it fails. Two CL remain in the 1-box, the remainder proceed to the East Med. The Galetea attempts an intercept but fails on a 7. The two CL settle in the 1-box.

Two subs head to the East Med 2-box. Another heads to Cape St Vincent 3-box.

2 BB and 8 CA sail into the West Med. The CA Hawkins intercepts on a 2. The Italians stay put in the 4-box.

Six areas are available for naval combat.

First to the East Med. An Italian CL initiates the search and subs are committed. with searches of Axis 8 and Allies 10 both sides just about manage to find the sea.

In the West Med, the Italian task force emerges out of a storm and is upon the RN before they have time to react. All Italian gunfire is directed upon the prime target, the CV Courageous, to devastating effect. Her two escorting cruisers vainly try to protect their charge and suffer serious damage in return.

As the Italian ships head back to the cover of the storm, the slower moving BB's are hit by the RN's return fire. The Conte Di Cavour catches the worst of it and may be out of the war for some time. Giulio Cesare will need some time in the body shop, knocking out a few dents and a respray, but will be back in action soon.

The RN hunts around to try and obtain some revenge for Courageous but, mission accomplished, the Italians have returned to port.

Switching north, the Me-110 initiates searching in the Baltic. No additional German planes fly. Do the French wish to add their MS-406?
