Red, probably til the 21st ish - we are managing 1 turn each every 2 days excluding weekends (mainly due to different timezones) - of course that date is subject to me not having been beaten before then!

Greetings My Warior Chums,

First off...No i did not read the entire thread...(14 pages)
so could you bear with me plz.
I'm new (bet ya would never guess)
I've not played SPWAW 7.1 as PBEM and I like the
Opponents registry idea but the page (link from game)

Of what I've read in this post, sounds like fun (even for a newbie) Is the info on games in progress and opponet list posted I think I would like to join up (German) but don't know the rules...any help?
Give me a start point :)
I can play PBEM one turn a day no problem (after work)

Von

The Dilemma

Ok, I need some input from the players, on one side we have players who have finished or about to finish round 1 on the other hand we have players who due to busy schedule and timezones can't complete round 1 as fast, and then we still have ppl who want to sign up. I'd like to include as many players as we can, this is what this is about but at the same time we need to keep the game moving so let me know your thoughts.

If the first three rounds are a round robin sort of thing where you have to get 2 wins to move on, there is no reason one (i.e. me) couldn't play two games at once. As long as we keep the timing going like we are playing one round after another, those of us that are slow due to bad timezone matchups, can use the overlapping games to keep up with everyone else.

I hope that makes sense. I'm typing quickly so I can go home now and kick some more Russian ***!:D

Buzzard went on vacation shotly after we started ( He is due back today ), I can continue this game but I can play anybody that needs matching up if some players need games.

Ok then we'll have a rolling match up system so players will have opponents as they free up from the games till round 4.

Multipal Games

AAR Turn one Game one. American forces taking a beating. Aussem's map pick has his men retreating into my advancing armor. It's a slaughter
:D
Next game with me as Usa will be quite challenging. I had 60 men killed in a para drop on turn two. Sig-Auf1's and Flame tanks are holding the town. American Artillery still awsome. It may be their only saving option. American armor no match for the German 50mm.
Question: Should we try to play more than one game at a time to speed up round one? Our present game is 12 turns on turn 3. If so, I will arrange to begin the other games for this round.
PS: Are we supose to be playing live?

Red,

I can play three turns per week easily. If God Pc doesn't hangs :).
So I can take up the ones who have started easily.

Is there any other willing to start ?

Even I can change side and play russians or americans,

Regards,
Sergio

Since Scharfshutze's motherboard still remains dead we may struggle to complete our game soon. I would be happy to start my second game now. Useless Brits vs whoever in 1942 ...

P.S. How do you do an umlaut on an English keyboard?

Some keyboards allow you to type <cntrl><shift><;> (or, in other words, <Control, semicolon>) then the letter that allows for umlauts (e.g. a, e, i, o, u). I don't know if it works on the Forum though.

US vs Germany 8/41

Well the Americans have counter attacked.I'm losing ground. HQ killed by Units attacking from the rear area. Troops south are regrouping and attacking Center USA formation. Aussem and I have started our second game. Playing two at once. We havent choosen our set up for the third but it will be wild. I hoped to frustrate him in the initial attack, but the Americans have rallied well. I think he now realizes that he out numbers me two to one.
It's nice to have german 50mm but when you compare 2100 pts vs 1200 pts for cost of a company of tanks. Shear numbers will out weigh you in a close assault. My main assault is now over. Trying to pick up the pieces now. Turn 6 of 12.
