The Japanese seem to have a hell of a lot more aircraft than I purchased. The Chinese and British forces in western China/FIC are hit hard. However, they hang on and Hanoi almost falls....

A great battle is in progress for the Marshall Islands

A corps lands but is met with two SNLF forces and is battered into an irrecoverable situation.

To the south, two Japanese submarine squadrons take on my fleet. It takes every destroyer and every carrier to destroy the subs as they kept diving... The problem now for the USN? Where is the IJN?

The Transcaucasus Front makes short work of two Romanian corps. I expect heavy German reinforcements are being rushed to the area even as I write....

A good turn for the Chinese. One army destroyed and a corps badly mauled.

A full scale fleet encounter is about to start as one of my scouts (subs) stumbled across CV's and BB's of the IJN....

I ordered my shore-based maritime bombers to attack first before deciding whether to engage. Although badly mauled, they hit an enemy BB and DD and cost some CV's through interception.

I sent some destroyers in to try and gauge the size of the fleet. I think I only missed one BB - maybe a carrier too - so not too bad. It was the right decision to attack anyway. I sent two carriers forward - one with fighters and one with bombers. They targeted the two nearest BB and weakened both. One BB withdrew - straight into the waiting arms of one of my BB squadrons.....

I then sought to finish off the second BB and brought in another carrier. Unfortunately my BB in place was just out of range and I brought in a second to finish off the Japanese battlewagons.

I then decided to target a CV. A fourth carrier squadron was brought in and when the Japanese flattops retreated - it did say straight into the waiting arms of my battleships

I was by now worried about distance - not all my ships could reach. I next used two BB to destroy a second CV.

The end of the first phase of the battle. I brought in my last units that could reach and they took out the damaged destroyer squadron.

The Japanese took a hit and run approach in response to my attack on their fleet. The result was a lot of damage and one carrier and one battleship sunk. I tried to locate the fleeing Japanese ships with my subs but drew a blank.

I withdraw to lick my wounds.

In China I simply keep advancing in order to put maximum pressure on the Japanese. I manage to, at least temporarily, surround an army.
