I tried recon missions out of Huelva and Gibraltar to snatch a couple of unattended NAT bases for supply, but I discovered INF stacks ready to go.

There are NAT stacks east and north of Cordoba starting to push east, so I'm going to fall back, else I'm at risk of being surrounded with no supplies.

I may have made a foothold in Grenada, and I will try to exploit it, especially since Malaga isn't at risk anymore.

Some air groups are reinforcing to the suburbs of Madrid.

The most painful moment here is I have no reserves other than 3 INFs coming up to help Cordoba - now going southeast towards Linares - and one INF reinforcing Malaga from the east - now going north to Cordoba.

Some of the lesser-damaged ships are starting to bounce from Gibraltar to Malaga and from Malaga to Cartagena. Eventually I need to deal with the captured NAT PG Uad Lucus - it's been beached with 97 floatation damage for weeks.

It was supposed to be a walk in the park somewhat: We defeated a major NAT stack at Talavera de la Reina, and all we had to do was clear out the NAT stack at Caceres while picking up a few unattended bases; but several NAT waves showed up from the North, and even though Madrid had to send two waves of reinforcements, more are needed.

At 97 flotation damage, the PB should be able to slowly sail. Move it from port to port until it can reach a shipyard or an ARD to repair the damage, disbanding every turn at a port.

Is the flotation damage all major or is any damage minor? If any flotation damage is minor even a port with no shipyard can help to dewater the ship. The base has to have a port of size of at least 1.

Perhaps it's the right time to review the state of REP navy.

BB Jaime: cowardly sneaking to Odessa for repairs.

All 3 CLs: Currently on a hunting mission around Gibraltar, but at least one should be pulling back for repairs - somewhere.

Destroyers: Most are accompanying cruisers in a raid on Gibraltar. Two are near Gibraltar, licking their wounds, one is by Almeira: all three have only major Floration Damage left. They will start falling back towards available docks: I have a size 5 in Malaga and size 18 in Cartagena with an ARD there.

Torpedo boats: I lost one, two will attempt a half-hearted raid of Gibraltar, one is by Gibraltar already and will remain, one Gibraltar damaged one will sneak to Malaga, and the one damaged at Malaga will sneak to Cartagena. All remaining damages are major.

Overall, aside from the July 17th betrayal, REP Navy is pretty much intact: 3 losses to 105 of NATs, that's impressive.

Submarines:

B5, B6, C4 are falling back to Cartagena. B1, B3 - to Menorca. B2, B4 will rest at Menorca. C1, C2 will continue to rest at Cartagena. It's been a couple of quiet days, so we are going to take a small period of rest.

As for smaller ships, two stacks of machine-gun boats will attempt a couple of Algerian coastal raids. Captured NAT PG Uad Lucus sets out for the likely final journey.

Viviero miners are sneaking between the enemy strongholds. Oviedo REP troops are tired, but we still dispatch a couple of INFs to deal with the NAT forces: Bilbao is about to be overrun, and we need to help with this.

Santander is still holding. We are trying one more shock attack by Espinosa to clear out disabled NAT vehicles.

Bilbao is still holding, and San Sebastian too, both cities relying on resilience of the last remaining Sentry garrisons ahead of them. I am sending a few San-Seb folks to Bilbao. Overall, it fells like NATs are about to overrun us.

I'm going to call it a fog of war - PC crashed during processing the last turn, and I'm not 100% of my orders were in the latest save - but hey, we catch a NAT AK during the second re-run and send the enemy is down 459 troops. Also, it's interesting how turns aren't alike. The first run had zero air activity, and the second run was full of nonstop action. Overall, my troops did worse on the ground, which could be due to some orders not being re-keyed. Always save before that end of turn, folks!

When that happens, go to your save folder. The end of turn saves are the 50+ numbers. However, if you reloaded and issued new orders then that will overwrite the end of turn save that is already there.

Thank you for your wisdom yet again. I happened to check that, but I did not equate the "Auto Save" with the End Turn but rather with the Turn Start like with other games. I realize I'm back to the "RFM" (R is for Read, M is for Manual) yet again, but I'm quite enjoying figuring things out myself, actually.

NATs get a major wave of reinforcements from the south, so the "massacre" at Espinosa is no longer true. I'm going to fall back, seeing as I had already clipped most of the LOG units there anyway, and I'm facing INF now. I will try to reinforce the region from everywhere I can, now that Oviedo is semi-safe for now, and San Sebastian is kind of, too.

Zaragosa is getting Zerg-rushed. That's pretty much my only option due to supply dwindling quickly and NATs pushing onto Madrid and my North - and either my Recon is taking a day off, or NAT troops in the area have scattered. We're trying a blitzkrieg, bypassing known NAT stacks, going right for the city. Of course, a couple of weaker pillaging units will pick up on some unattended NAT bases for supplies. Oh, and an ART unit from Menorca is among the attackers. What a fate.

We might be making a turnaround at Granada - I'm very cautiously optimistic, considering how many times REPs have been repulsed at both Granada and Cordoba, especially since NATs should be getting stronger by the day.

My airforce keeps pounding civilians instead of learning how to fly. All air transport Ops to Malaga have stopped, meaning I have two sets of separated units: Barcelona and Madrid towards Malaga, with mainly horse wagons left behind.

If you have your Reports on in your preferences, you can look there for your combat.txt file and copy things from there instead of doing screen shots.

I do, I just liked the colorful layout of the screenshot reports. I can switch to basic reports instead.

In another surprising moment, it's back at Odessa. I should have taken screenshots...
