Funnyly enough, we have the same thing here: alcohol is less taxed in Spain than in France, so those living near Spain know where to buy or to get to pub and bars....

I feel your pain. I've been dealing with chronic eye strain for 5 years now and none of the doctors and ophtalmologists have been any help thus far. [:(] Makes trying to enjoy any computer game or book a negative experience at times, not to mention trying to get through an eight hour day.
