French Trans sails from Med to Bristol. CL to West Med 4-box.

Once again, the Jap gunners are on the money. Rolls of 3, 4, 7, 4 cause the USN pilots to scatter their bombs wildly.

With the notional made, only 3, 4, 5 or 8 would led to the attack failing. Had the notional not made (66.67% chance) the result would have been a nice 18.

I have not done too many invasions in MWiF and this turn has given me two important lessons:

1) Always keep on eye for enemy marines (I though after the first failed invasion that Japs are safe for some time as I had no idea how many marines US had).

2) When you invade, make sure it is A) automatic B) near automatic C) it is worth taking risk. In this case in Truk Japan had 7 disorganized ships including CV with 2 CVP's. Losing it would have been a major hit for Japan...

It was easier to see what is going on in WiF, when you had map in front of you and you see all the time what your opponent is doing...

With 8 surprise points I choose avoid combat as Allen K is offline. Putting all points to increase AA fire would give lowest of 4, not a very good chance to shoot plane down.

Japan:

Japanese CL to The Marianas box 0 (I don't want to find US fleet) loading MAR div from Wake Island.

Trans to Solomons box 0 loadin HQ from Kwajalein, CL to Box 4.

CP to South China.

From Fukuoka AMPH loaded with MIL to Bismark Sea box 0.

Trans to South China Sea box 0 loaded with MAR from Singapore.

Empty CV to Southwest Indian Ocean (to initiate combat).

Italy:

CL to Italian Coast box 4.

3x CA and CL to East Med box 3. I declined intercept in Italian Coast with submarine. I will replay it if you want to intercept them. No matter the result in East Med I will do it.

Axis initiates combat in East Med and Southwest Indian Ocean.
