I suppose that depends on how you define unsuccessful attacks. I would have thought that all three attacks were partially successful. Capturing the combat hex is not a complete failure in my book, and causing the enemy losses without taking any yourself can not be all bad either. [:D]

Anyway. Onwards and upwards. New failures are sure to be ahead. And some successes as well. [:)]

The US cruisers in Algiers port are surprised by the incoming Italian bombers. (10 rolled)

Two surprise points are used to eliminate the ships AA fire.

Naval air seems the way to proceed since it gives the same damage to the submarines without any result in return.

What SUB will get the D, and the second A?

One SUB damaged, and another aborted.

Italy remains in the sea area, but the SUBs avoid combat.

I will continue onwards since I am pretty sure that Allies stay in the sea area.

2 LND2 strikes two different hexes adjacent to Vitebsk. See picture.

Will USSR use their FTR2 to intercept one of the incoming bombers? Germany has 3 FTR2 available for counter-interception.
