Aston Villa have been an absolute disgrace this season and will bow out of the Premiership plum last and with less than 20 points to their name.
Their fans? Look at this clip. The Villans were away at Watford and listen to the reaction from the fans when they won....... a corner. Priceless [&o]
Well done Villa fans - hope you return to the Premiership next season.

Feeling deflated this morning. Its not the losing of the title to Leicester (that was conceded weeks ago - see above - and they deserve the title) it was allowing Chelsea to come back last night. Haven't won at Stamford Bridge since 1990 and looked like we were finally going to break that hoodoo but.....
And as for the indiscipline. Alli is already out for the last two games, Dembele will surely now follow, then Rose and Alderweireld injured and frankly Harry Kane has looked exhausted in the last two games. Keeping hold of 2nd is going to be a tough ask.
Still some work for Pochettino to do - there is a need to strengthen in attack and midfield. Chadli, Son, N'Jie are just too lightweight and Lamela still needs to improve.
Still if someone had offered 3rd place at the start of the season I guess I would have taken it.

Keeping hold of 2nd is going to be a tough ask.
I think your team is up for the task.
Would have been more interesting though, if the title race was still open.

Warspite has a point though. What's happened this year is quite unique (and refreshing). The biggest clubs failed and Leicester was there at the right moment and place to bag this title (kudos to their players, magnificent coach and fans). Teams (and their fans) like Tottenham may think -understandably- that they lost a golden opportunity. They did. Planets don't align very often, which is why you must seize these few opportunities when they appear.
Liverpool after all is a historical team that already won many important trophies (but last league they won = many moons ago).

Well I'd swap Liverpool's trophy cabinet for Tottenham's any day of the week.
Not sure what is so bad about being a Liverpool fan right now. I think you have a great manager, you are in the semi-final of the Europa League, a big ground (set to become bigger) and they will no doubt make money available to Klopp this summer.

I think what the last couple of games has shown is Spurs need to strengthen the set of players who are on the fringes of the first team. You could see it last night when Mason came on (was watching in Amsterdam). When Spurs were sort of playing for 4th place max, most likely 5th or 6th then he was an asset, last night he just fumbled badly.
Still reckon Spurs will be second, think Man City will either be holding everything back for a CL final or utterly demoralised if Real dump them out. Equally would be surprised if Arsenal really manage to be consistent - but in any case as you say if 3rd had been on offer at the start of the season then it would have been a real success

Well, well, well. Guardiola goes to prove that this football manager lark is not as easy as some believe.
He ends his reign as manager of Bayern Munich with no Champions League trophy - just a bunch of domestic trophies in a league dominated by one team - Bayern Munich.
He'll be looking to restore his reputation somewhat at Manchester City next season....

Obviously hope you are right but I am afraid Gary Lineker was, if not wrong about his summary of football, then only partially correct. He should have said "Football is a game played over 90 minutes and at the end the Germans win, and Arsenal finish above Spurs". [:(]
If Spurs finish the season with more than 1 point from the last two games (Southampton on great form and Newcastle fighting for survival) I will be amazed. No Alli, Dembele, possibly no Rose, no Alderwerield (plus any bans for a build up of yellows?) together with the mental disappointment of Monday = meltdown. [:(]

1. True, a great team in the 80s...For the past years there has been too many almosts.
2. Good manager, I agree. As to europe, it is the "european almost league" [;)]
3. Yeah, and Liverpool has proven how good they are at spending thei rmoney well over the last years [:D]
I fear that the main issue faced by Liverpool is that they are now an "almost there"-club, and the city of Liverpool is not the most exciting place for footballers of today. So I fear it might be difficult to attract the best players, and I fear in the end that we will be an almost-team for another decade. Whereas when I look at Tottenham I feel they improve every season, espesially compared to the other teams in the top. I think Spurs will place above us next year as well...

got to, respectfully, disagree with you on this one. Its been really nice the last 4 years being spared the idiocies of the 'Old Firm' games. Not just the general disruption to the city or the sectarian nastiness that goes with it, but also that every time they play there is a (very large) spike in domestic abuse. Just to remind us all, this re-occured a few weeks back after the cup semi final between the two.
Now Clyde vs Partick Thistle is a joy for all [;)]

Again, lets hope you are right, but in order for Spurs to improve (and certainly to finish above Liverpool) they will need some big investment in a few key areas mentioned above.
