They told us there isn't anything planted in N Iowa and on into S Minnesota.. it was too wet to get in.

They said of all the things, wheat will disconnect from corn and skyrocket, as we'll have a shortage of wheat before we get to next years harvest. Very little carryout, which I agree with them on.

So, I decided to audition for the local play in town this fall through the college.

I have never done this before, and wanted to try something new. I don't mind getting up in front of people or talking in front of audiences at all..

The play is A Night of Broadway.

I talked to the head chick...

I told her I can't sing or dance that I'm aware of and was only interested in a non-singing and dancing part. She said they need lots of narrators so come on out and give it a shot.

I talk for a living and figured the worst thing they can say is no.

I didn't follow the 'feed' today. Yesterday and the day previous it was on either side of the $5.00 line.

You know what they say, Jeff-buy low and sell high. [:D]

Hope you locked in some long-term contracts for the $4.50 range-likely to the low for a while, I reckon.

Drove around Northern Iowa a bit in July. Lots of fields fallow. I suspect they'll have a light crop. SE Minnesota very very wet. They did get a crop in, but it was late. It'll be down to the wire to see if they can get their 90-day corn out before a killing frost. They've had really good yields lately and have been largely spared from the droughts affecting the balance of the Midwest. Lots of corn up here, but it's about 3 weeks behind schedule due to the late planting.

Why the wheat shortage, Jeff? Is it because NoDak's cousins are all planting corn in preference? Canadian drought?
