Here too. That's what I get for not being present at the draft, eh? Well, just so long as I don't come in last, the Feces Chuckin' Apes will be happy for the opportunity to smear another with the loss.

Hootz gazootz. So here's Labor Day. Got some ultra thick rib eye steaks from Winn Dixie. How the heck do ya cook them, so go to recipes.jomama. Them things aren't really steaks and aren't really roasts; they are what the are. They are what they call "Cowboy Chops". Twice as thick as normal, but done like a steak, not a roast. (maybe a couple pics CB). And then some roast new red potatoes with sweet nions, garlic and green and red bell peppers, from Ree Drumonds site at The Pioneer Woman Cooks. And then Italian greens with campari tomatoes and a dijon vinaigrette.

In honor of canoerebel, I've been cooking this to 'In Memory of Elizabeth Reed' turned up real loud.

I cooked beef short ribs on the grill today. Slooooowwwww cooking writ large. Mighty tasty if you take the time to cook 'em on low heat, flip em every 30 minutes or so and only baste them with sauce the last 30 minutes. Pork ribs? They're alright, I guess. Slow cooked beef ribs? As John would say, "woof!" [8D]
