The Hyuga took 5 torpedoes, the Mikasa 2 and the Fusu 1.
If my BBand BCs had these I would have been in trouble. The Hyuga is sunk, the others will be in a repair yard for months.
I lost Kendari but inflicted a loss on his fleet units
The attack ob Pearl Harbor continued as is shown but with diminishing returns for him.

It is now August 8. After 3 days of very heavy action things have quieted down.
His carriers continue to pull away from PH. Wasp's floatation damage is down to 30 so she will survive.
An airstike from the Kaga TF hit Midway heavily damaging the minesweeper there but doing no other damage.
My carriers have headed south from the Banda Sea, his BB moved north.
In Akyab I have landed the UK 29th Brigade to strenthen the defense.
In Imphal a delibrate attack was repulsed with 3000 IJA casualities to less than 100 allied.
I am going to start an operation to reinforce Port Moresby. I will try to post details tonight
The forts in Soerjaba are down to 5. One or 2 more days will bring an end here.
The defenders of Kendari retreated to the Northwest. Political Points have been spent and all available subs are being dispatched to bring them out.

August 9 was another quiet day in the Pacific, so here's the news.................
Listed are the damaged ships at Pearl Harbor. The Wasp has been floated off the mud and can make 8 knots. I will give her a few more days and send her to the west coast for repairs.

My operation to supply Port Moresby is shaping up. With his 8 heavy CVs coming back from PH I feel I can utilize my carriers. 2 carriers will cover the movement of 2 task forces to New Guinea. One will come from Cairns carrying supplies. The other will come from Townsville carrying the 6th Austrailian Division.
The 4 engine bombers have been put on naval search to aid in recon. I am waiting 2 days to see if there is any evidence of a trap

The operation to reinforce Port Moresby will be begin with the next turn. The forces involved will be posted tonight.
I have decided to try and hold Timor. More infantry units will be moved to the island to stiffen the defense. The shipping is available. More details to follow.

The game has advanced to 8/18/42 in the last 3 days. This is why I have not posted here. I have been busy executing turns. And now for the news:
Java has fallen. Soerbaja fell 4 days ago then Malang 2 days later. Submarines are evacuating the 2 ground units that retreated north out of Kendari. The garrison is all safely aboard subs or at Darwin. The ENG unit has been 75 percent evaced. They will rebuild in Darwin.
I have decided to try and hold Timor. Koepang is almost alevel 5 airbase and I have about 160 combat planes here with 24 search aircraft. 2 units are shipping from Darwin to Dili to hold the unoccupied base.
Broom is a level 5 airfield, Darwin is at 8. The heavies from Darwin have closed Kendari.
The 6th Austrailian Div has been landed in Port Moresby with no interfereence from the enemy. The supply convoy was not as lucky. It was hit the day after it started unloading. Nothing has been sunk, but several ships were damaged and I have lost 15 to 20 percent of the supplies. Unloading continues.
I have rounded up 50 to 60 AKs and APs and sent them back to the west coast. I have a bad habit of not doing this in a timely manner.
the carriers continue under repair (see my Yorktown thread in the main WITP forum).
I will post some maps tomorrow.
Oh, the IJA appears to be withdrawling from Imphal and Akyab. I need to track their movements.

The game is up to Aug 27. Due to time commitments on my part we have slowed to about 1 turn a day. That being said, here is the news.
It has been pretty quiet for about 1 week. Due to carelessness on my part, I lost 19 B24Ds over Rangoon about 4 days ago. I should have stood down the bombers and forgot. Losses have been replaced
The enemy appears to be pulling back from Akyab and Imphal. Revcon units are keeping an eye on this withdrwal.
My resupply effort at Vladivostok has been discovered. Alfs attacked one of the convoys yesterday with no damage resulting. This effort has brought about 80,000 supply into this Russian port since late June. How much longer it can continue will depend on how much force Terminus brings to bear.
My buildup in Timor continues. There are enemy subs in the area which require all convoys in to have escort.
My B17s and B24s from Darwin and the B25s in Koepang are keeping Kendari closed. The airfield and port are at 84 and 50 damage. Zeros from Ambonia are flying CAP over the base.
There are major air and ground units in transit from the west coast to the Sout Pacific/Southwest Pacific. I will provide a list of these tonight. I want to fight another convoy into Port Moresby to increase air support and cause him shipping problems.

After abreak for my work constraints and family end of school activities, the game with Terminus resumed a little over a week ago.
We are up to Sept 18.
I still hold Timor and I am moving to reinforce Waingapu. There are on going battles in China. I do not have time to post screen shots tonight. I will do it tomorrow.
I am also in the early planning stages for a counter offensive in Burma. A lot of his units are on the trail pulling back from Akyab. Now may be the time to strike.
More to come tomorrow.[:)]
