I have reason to believe that the Axis forces destroyed 15 Soviet units during turn 18: 13 infantry types and 2 guns types. Nothing changed near Odessa so I didn't do a movie of it. Here's the Axis losses so far:

I think the Axis forces destroyed 18 Soviet units in turn 19: 15 infantry types and 3 guns. Here's the Axis losses so far:

The number of HRS's assigned decreased this turn from last turn...that means my army is getting slowly weaker.

Near Murmansk I have a division of Finn troops that I need to decide where to put [them]. I originally thought to move them north to replace the German troops and start a small war to move on Murmansk directly but in reviewing the supply situation [ the hexes in the far north have all 9's for supply and those in the southern positions have at least 19 and 36 on the roads ] I decided to move them south to replace the Germans there instead and try to force the Soviet troops back to expose the Murmansk rail line instead.

Mistake?

The next problem I consider is the one near Leningrad. There is always the local shortage of available troops in war and that seems to be the case now. I don't have enough assets [ troops ] to man a large front to push forward and maintain flank security at the same time there along the coast which suggests a "probing finger" kind of push toward Leningrad. But probing fingers are easily thwarted and risk being cut off and destroyed because of the lack of flank security. So that suggests a "broad front" kind of push instead and therein lies the problem.

the situation to the immediate south of Leningrad: I had originally thought to swing to the northeast of Leningrad to isolate the city and possibly stop supplies from arriving in the city but it appears that the Soviet calvary has arrived in the nick of time for the defenders so that I have to re-do my plans.
