Working my part of the 31 Dec 41 turn:

Moved P40 squadron from EastUSA to San Fran to eventual transport to Australia as part of II Fighter Command.

Moving xAP Maui and PC Travis to Seattle to move 1/151st Engineers to Kodiak.

What do we want to do with the 22nd BG at San Fran? It is part of V US Bomber Cmd which will appear at Charles Towers on 28 Aug 42. Do we want to just keep it training at San Fran until we get close to August or do we want to ship it to Australia now? I can do either, but if I am going to ship it I need to send them to LA to load up on cargo vessels there. Just be aware, it is 45 days from LA to Sydney.

The two units from the 35th PG at San Fran for Hawaii USAAF. I have lift available if we want to ship them. Four xAKLs and one escort will do. I have also, two short legged tankers that could go along with about 12k fuel. I am setting this up.

Ewa, with 4800 supply, is a week out from Penrhyn Is. Once unloaded it will find a returning MT cargo TF to join up with for the return trip to LA.

Geesh, we have stuff scattered all across the Pacific. The good thing is very little of it is on the same route, less chance of a Sub finding more than one of them.

Checked resource TFs, all appear to we working as planned.

Moved 2nd AVG to Kweilin by rail, as there is V support there, they will rest (morale below 50) and repair and then fly to Chungking for replacements. Boosting Chunkings supplies to get to 20k so we can get replacements.

That should be it. I am done with my part. File in InGame folder.

Wake is, as of now, untouched. I have not been tasked to deliver anything there. That is all I know.

No they have not. They haven't even hinted at Wake or Guam from day one.

They have well planned, carrier supported, strong invasions of key bases in the DEI, Philippines, and SE Asia. None of this small, far reaching crap to gobble up everything available. As you can see now, they control Timor, to support their invasion of Darwin. They have planned very well to take what they have so far to support future invasions of key areas. (India/Australia)

I don't like China myself..but it is an important area, and Mike is more than capable of handling that area. He'll do a fine job as long as supply trickles in.

Start of the New Year was very quiet for my part. Fleets moving where they need to be moving. One Rgt of the Americal Division has arrived at San Francisco. More transports arriving in a couple of days to carry the division to Noumea. Notice that several TFs enroute to Eastern USA for a return trip to where they came from. Another TF (Speed 4) is leaving LA today or tomorrow to Sydney via Tahiti for fuel with supplies. Need several xAKLs for supply of the small islands. Will work on that tomorrow.

China is quiet. 2nd AVG is resting and repairing air-frames at Kwellin. They will draw replacement aircraft to build up strength and return to the front in a week or so.

My part for 1 JAN 42 is done.

Lae was captured this turn, along with Dili.
Hilo expanded to 2 forts, and the 193rd Tank batallion has arrived in Frisco...prep left for Frisco for time being.

THAT is how much is going on..

Created a SCTF with all of the BBS in Tahiti, and replenished from sea to do an instant unload from the AOs and TKs that are SLOWLY unloading.... I think the USN did this at ports that were highly congested anyways...just loaded fuel from the tankers at anchor.

Carriers south of Solomons set to link up/follow.

Set a few DDs in the area that were no longer needed for escort to meet up with Lousiville TF, to give more screening ships.

Long legged (4 total) destroyers that were ASWTF around Pearl have refueled, and are headed to San Diego to form the TF centered around Yorktown. It will have one CL and 5 DDs... should be enough to send her across the ocean and down to Brisbane/Sydney where more CAs and DDs await her taskforce completion. Two more DDs come online in the area, but Mike will need to use those for escort/ASW duty.

Enemy units have arrived in Clark.. no combat yet.. two artillery units set to bombard.

Pretty quite in my area at the moment. Unloading at Lae like I mentioned.. and an air raid out of Rabaul.

Not much to do.

The xAP Xeilin is at Seattle and is waiting on some of the xAKLs arriving back from NoPac. They will then load up the AA and the two ENG units to take them to Kodiak and Dutch Harbor.

The YP-415 is at San Diego and will sit there for a bit while waiting for more to make another ASW TF for the West Coast.
49th PG/7th PS arrived at Eastern USA. I loaded it up with fresh recruits, set it up for training at 100 percent and moved it to San Francisico to join the other squadron from the II Fighter Command that is there already. There are some AVs coming from the Panama Canal as soon as the escorts arrive that will be able to transport these or we can just use xAKs (2-3 per squadron!).

The 2nd AVG is repairing one last aircraft at Chungking and will then move to Ledo and then onto Calcutta to receive replacements. The Chinese can't seem to find enough parts to assemble the aircraft we need.

Ichang has been turn to Defend and we will see what the Japanese want to do there.

Burma
Japanese are at Moulmein and the hex directly east of Pegu. The 1st Burma Div w/ the Burma Command is across the river from Moulmein digging in. Japanese Air power has yet to visit in force, but the weather has been thunderstorms predominately. No reinforcements have been sent to Burma, so it is an economy of force operations. The 1st AVG with P-40Es and the 3rd AVG w/H-81s are in Burma, as well as a squadron of Blenheim Is and Hudsons. Based on the fast track into Burma and focus on Pt Blair, India is in play for the Japanese.

Malaya
Holed up in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Tried a CAP trap in Kuala Lumpur and whacked a number of unescorted Lily's. Singapore is 95% of the way to fort 3, but don't think she can make it. Trying to get the attention focused on Kuala Lumpur. We will see how that goes.

DEI
Japanese have invaded Makassar and looked like they were trying a quick invade in northern Australia. Have small surface TFs wandering around to discourage that behavior. Makassar will fall quick, so harassing and setting up for a night visit with a couple of surface TFs. Trying to look for opportunities to hit with ships or aircraft, but the Japanese have been very deliberate after a couple of early mishaps. Using B-17s out of Darwin to slow the airfield construction on Timor (harassing attacks with 2 squadrons (-)). Supply convoys are starting to arrive at Tilijap.

India
The Blenheim 1F squadron has been turned into a training squadron for the time being before converting to Hurricanes. Expect that soon. B-17s are in training at Calcutta gearing up for the anticipated campaign in India. Bombay is progressing at 3+ forts, 180K supply and ~1300AV. All the Burma and Malaya reinforcements have been dumped there. Constant attacks at Pt Blair point to an assault soon. Evacuated the air transport detachment that was airlifting the Mergui det from the Malay Peninsula to Calcutta.

Australia
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Divisions all recombined and continuing to train up. Started naval search routines with Hudsons off of the east coast with the arrival of a jap sub off Rockhampton. Still prepping for defense of Sydney and Melbourne. A-24s have been plused up with experienced pilots and in training at Brisbane, Alice Springs and Darwin. Still running convoys into Darwin.

NG
Most of the B-17s are in Australia training, with one squadron at PM doing some harassing attacks at Rabaul/Madang. There are Zeros at
Madang I think. Going to need fighters there soon to protect supply convoys. A couple of surface TFs are on the fringes of the Solomon Sea looking for opportunities while staying back enough to avoid Betties or the sudden appearance of Jap CVs.
