T28 north/centre (German)
Very little happened in north and centre. Few tank brigades were punished and German forces in eastern part of Tula bulge moved 1-2 hexes west.
Predictably exposed German position west of Moscow was half-abandoned.

T28 south (German)
Vicious counter-attacks south of Voroshilovgrad pushed several of my cavalry corps and divisions back east and reopened one pocket. Commitment of mountain division made the difference.

Every unsuccessful attack makes my position worse.

T28 centre (Soviet)
I keep pushing west and south-west. Speed of slower than I would like it to be, but I am not without successes that turn - minor pocket was created in the west and next turn I expect to be able to catch fee more regiments in Tula area.

T28 centre/south (Soviet)
Somehow I was able to herd nice bunch of units back to Voronezh. Things are looking bright here.

T28 south (Soviet)
Intensive fighting here.
I somehow managed to encircle mountain division that was punishing em so severely during German part of this turn.
After 3 waves of air bombardment and scouting attack of tank brigade I managed to push it east. Hurrah.
In the mean time I gained some ground near Stalino I kept sending forces west.

T28 OOB (Soviet)
December gone and still long to way to go before I bring Saper forces below 3M men. If I won't I will face real challenge in '42 - I keep cannibalising my troops, and not only brigades but divisions as well so I might not be able to lay proper carpet when summer comes.
T25-28 losses
Axis - 328k
Soviet - 395k

Looks like the front is pretty thin on both sides, with so many brigades and regiments having to be up front, sometimes with no neighbor directly tied on their sides.

The Soviet player should be careful not to burn himself out during the blizzard; the war won't be won or lost just on what happens here.

I try to make myself remember that, but it is not that easy when opportunities to encircles enemy units arise.

T29 south (German)
December gone and Axis blizzard fighting proficiency has increased.
In the centre, Saper conducts few attacks against paratroopers and tank brigades - nothing significant, plus accelerates his withdrawal from Tula bulge.
It is south where Germans are very active again. During the course of fighting he manages to free encircled units and beat my advancing forces badly.
Initial and final odds of battles in the south:
(Ger/Sov)
19/6 -> 33/4 (8,4:1)
17/28 -> 46/12 (3,8:1)
65/50 -> 45/21 (2,1:1)
38/64 -> 68/26 (2,5:1)
19/41 -> 50/13 (3,7:1)

Keep on pushing! A good time to stop is early February.
Not seeing a lot of RR Brigs doing RR repair. You're going to need good supply lines come summer to keep what you gain now...

T29 centre (Soviet)
Situation west of Moscow is not as good as it might seem. I destroyed pocketed units - 6 inf regiments, 22000 soldiers overall and push further along the line, but to be honest I do not see too many encircling opportunities in the future.
It was bad turn in the south - Tula bulge proves to be harder nut to crack than I previously though it would be. Crucial attack west of city was beaten back and my northern pincer was brought to a halt. Not good.

T29 centre/south (Soviet)
I closed distance to withdrawing German forces plus managed to penetrate a bit to the wast. Nothing conclusive.
As it could have been predicted Voronezh was captured and 20000 surrendered - 1 inf divisions plus 2 inf regiments.
To my great surprise I somehow managed to create tiny pocket east of Belogrod. I didn't expect that, nice bonus.

T29 south (Soviet)
Presence of German mountain divisions restricts my actions. I decided to avoid confrontation and kept pushing along the flanks. I didn't have enough MP to lock Saper's units properly in ZOCs, so I do not expect much in forthcoming turns.
Further south Rostov was surrounded and should fall soon.

The farther they lag behind, the more difficult it will be to get replacements and keep the offensive going.
As mentioned, it will also determine to a large degrede where you can hold in the summer (or try too).
I'd invest in a few extra RR brigs...

I think I have something between 20 to 25. I don't want to make more because of manpower shortage.
