Wow - looks like a regiment or so wiped out.
I don't think any of those ships could take out his aircraft.
If he was taking them out the ships doing so would not stay for days - aircraft load instantly on an air tpt TF.

What?  We are advancing to the rear.  In worse news than the early demise of KB, tracker has decided to no longer load the turns.  How long before my economy crashes with out it is anyones guess. [:(]

6/5/42 Two notable concentrations at an near Sian are noted. The southern one is the group circled in post 212.

6/8/42 Developments in Burma. Some kind of convoy is unloading at Akyab. What appears definitely to be a troop convoy is headed to Rangoon. Later I got intelligence that the Imperial Guard Division was located at Rangoon. Think something's up in Burma? Raiden is bombing Cox's Bazaar daily.

Here's the results. I've never seen two CAs do so much damage. [:@]

6/10/42 Enemy TFs in the area. No sign of Mikuma and Mogami, of course.

It appears to me that the airbase was probably overstacked. That means aircraft not in revetments for protection, just sitting out in the open along the runway. Sitting ducks when he uses his float planes for recon during the bombardment.

You're right, it's overstacked, but its mostly planes damaged etc. which is easily repaired. By damage I really meant the 558 casualties. That's a good number even for four BBs.

The Fourth of July, 1942. Image There hasn't been many things of interest to report for a while. I bombarded Espiritu Santo with 9 BBs but he saw me coming and evacuated his planes beforehand. I believe I got a 14 or 16" hit on an AE but have no idea if she went down. We're having a bit of a to-do south of Daly Waters in Australia. He lost a lot of tanks I believe, up to 74 but many of these may have been trucks. Half of them were "disabled" and he was ejected from the hex, I don't happen to know if you take your disabled stuff with you when you retreat. In China he appears to be shifting some of his weight to the south, so as to have credible offensives from both the south and the northeast.

In an aside, my animated smileys are not animated. Is this Matrix saving processing speed (happening to everyone) or is it my computer settings somewhere?

Here is a global snapshot.

It appears Raiden may be excecuting an amphibious landing, either at Cox's Bazaar or Chittigong. Good luck to him with that. There is a small BB force headed that way with an unknown TF following behind. He's also building up forces from Cox's Bazaar to Mytkvina for a push into India. By the way, wasn't there a movie called Chitti Chitti Gong Gong? Did Herman Caine make it?

Unless the AE got heavy fires, it will likely survive one hit.

Disabled guns and vehicles always seem to escape! I have tried doing shock attacks [331:1] against a unit down to one disabled gun, one disabled vehicle, and four troops [< 1 squad] and they skitter away like a greased pig. I was playing sandbox so I could see both sides unit info. Bombing and bombarding seems to do a better job of killing off the disabled devices.

The Matrix smiley animation is still working for me ...

7/25/42 I hate to have to trumpet my opponents exploits (Raiden is so quiet), but Lanchow has fallen and Sining is under siege. He's probing around the border between India and Burma, looking for a weak spot. Other than China and Burma he's mostly just collecting flags in the DEI. We have been having a tete-a-tete at Tennant Creek with mixed results, but mostly in his favor, I think.

8/8/42 Raiden is clearly investing some effort into attacking India from Burma. Aside from that, there's not a whole lot going on. I thought I might entertain you with a couple of jokes. If anyone has any good ones, feel free to post them here. Of course, no ethnic, racial or political jokes are appropriate; and keep it reasonably clean.

What is a device used for rating the buns of cyclists (either sex)?

A Speedo-Meter

What do you call it when a gaggle of women take their American Express cards to a Nordstrom's?

The Charge of the Light Brigade

Here's one some of you older fellows may appreciate: What is the device called that inflates your insides when they do a colonoscopy?

A Flatula

What is the title of a story in which an evil wizard turns a harmless furry long-eared critter into a fearsome lizard?
Hare today, Gorn tomorrow! [:D]
Wait a minute ... is that an ethnic joke??? [:-]
