Focus ont the 3 hot spots

Pskov

Defences west of Pskov are crushed, I will retreat South. 5000+ art are now something usual

Gomel

SHC clears a corridor

Image

South

I was short of AP and was unable to optimize my stacks (-36%). It will be done next turn. See the ridiculous 4903 art for russians [:D]

Oshawatt really does like to bring the big guns (& lots of them) doesn't he?

Looking at that sequence, even your level 2/3 forts are just getting crushed (realise its a bit hard to judge if that was pre combat or a result of you retreating) which is going to leave you very exposed. Fear you are in for a tough summer (but then you know that already [:)] )

also looks like his partisans carry on being incredibly active

Oshawott has a fine appreciation for the God of War. I approve. This appreciation isn't as common as it should be, either.

I'm actually a little surprised by this, because the partisans don't have a really large amount of territory anymore in which to work. I don't know how many units Stef has specifically designated for anti-partisan operations; maybe he needs every last man against the almighty Red Army that Oshawott has created.

In fact most of my security divs were still in cities but strongly depleted. German Sec Divs had between 2000/3000 men each. So they were ineffective.

Rumanian Sec Divs are totally depleted (<1000men) and I use cavalry to hunt down partisans in the South.

Hungarian were mostly transformed in light divisions and used to dig in.

I still have the italian security div which is working fine but not for a long time!

I refited the german ones on turn 106 (we are now finishing turn 107). We will see if it changes the number of partisans

And with the momentum of russian advance, I won't need any security div at the end of 1943!

Last turn of alternance clear/mud

Oshawott begins to hammer my defences South of Pskov. I don't like all these arts!

Not a cakewalk for russians anymore, but still stacking problems (both sides). Screens are before my counterattacks...

Hi all,

Flav, who is this God of War? I'll probably get my head taken off for this, but!!!, what is all this attack, then withdraw, over and over? Sure I known it is very clever way to limit counter attacks, but really, did this kind of behavior happen on the East front. Hmm, pls no offense intended.

The God of War is artillery, of course.

It's one of the limit of this game but if you don't do this you are too much exposed to counterattacks. I have really big stacks in this area ready to bite!

Jesus Christ. Near 13k guns. What is that, like 6 rifle corps and 9 rocket arty divisions?

8 rifle corps, 1 cav corps and 9 rocket artillery divisions. But in about 25 turns they will upgrade and the numbers will go down.

so this is Oshawatt doing subtle ... ?

He has gone a long way from his "friendly handshakes" that's for sure. Half a million men and 13K guns is just beyond my comprehension for one battle.

Turn 106, 24th june 1943

New summer, new black perpectives...

Let's have a full review of the situation

North

After leaving Pskov, Oshawott is already hitting hard my second line of defence. I will try to earn some time before retreating behind the Dvina. I don't like these mech units on the left side of my front

Image

Smolensk

Hammering at the door! I'm weak in this sector as I didn't think it would be his main target

Center

End of the clearing of the eastern bank of the Dniepr

A seldom defensive success
