CV's survive 6 seperate air battles

CV tf takes no hits...amazing

BB task force attacked 7 times.

NO fighter support there because the P51's were supposed to sweeps Diego - but didn't. AND BB's were supposed to be with carriers.

King George V takes a fish.

2 DD's take bombs.

three crippled ships including the BB are limping back to Colombo while the remainder of the bombardment fleet moves in closer for a BB attempt next turn. At least there were excellent air loss results this past turn.

I was scratching my head why they were refused. I will take your advice next time. Results could have been much worse

I went back and looked about 40 aircraft broke through on the BB's. They must have had low naval attack skill

Finally, about 100 fighters and 200 bombers went after the carriers about 6 hexes closer to Diego. They absorbed the bulk of the air raids. Notably, his attacks were sharded into a number of attacks, which was the only reason the CV's survived. I am betting he has insufficient air support and or bad commanders. In any event, works out good so far despite my batch of refused orders. I am holding off unleashing the 29's until I have bombarded Diego.

Several more turns coming today.

B-29's do not attack again. Getting to be a broken record.

Avengers from CV's execute port attack with good results. Can't say why he had those ships in that port. It makes no sense.

Well, the B-29's finally showed up and buried the base. Now I can move on to phase 2.

Went in at 6K to ensure that I would knock it out all the way...took some damage, but that is OK. Oh an the CV group launched port attack and sunk the remaining ships in port.

It is important to mention the cost of the 6K raids was 19 B-29's, which is a pretty damn high loss ration. Certainly I would not be doing that on a daily basis.

Here's the hard part, he probably has a level 6 or greater fort. I will need to bomb the base for about a month to soften it up before I invade. I am pretty gun shy invading atolls after some of the beatings I took earlier in the game. As long as the base is KO'd, it satisfies my immediate needs. I will get back to this base around March 1.

I actively use sub raiders and paratroopers on unoccupied bases. The empire withdrew from Horne Islands about the time I invaded Townsville. Anyway, it is a freebie.

B29 losses -- did you hit balloons?

I really like the premise of this game. [:)]

Empire appears to have completely withdrawn from southeastern Oz. I am pushing up para troops and raiders to accelerate movements. I cannot locate a single enemy unit.

Should be interesting. he has a level 9 and some small ships there, plus, at least 400 planes.

If it goes badly, there will be quite a few losses.

Note I still don't have engineers to Cooktown, so I can't really go after PM by air yet.

Burma -
begin major ground offensive to get across the Bilin river to get to Moulmein. trying to force crossing in 4 successive hexes away from his strength. plan to build roads where I make the crossing - and move on Moulmein.
Bombed - pistambule 600 total runway and airbase hits - no empire response.

Pearl Harbor -
about 80 units all engineer types still need to be moved to Oz. about 600 AK worth are already underway to Brisbane. Should be complete on the PH end by March 1.
