OK, here's your bird for the day. I have a little video of it where you can hear me whisper "what the f*** is that?"
It was quite chilly here this morning so I had my window shut which in part explains the fuzziness of the pic as it was through a very ancient plate of glass. With birds though, you don't always have enough time to fiddle with focusing the camera perfectly (remember perfectly is the enemy of the goodly).

Okay, I've already given you a bird of the day (which I have yet to identify), but I have a couple of others I just can't hold back. First one of my all time favorites, Loretta Young.

Oh dear. Wish I had a time machine (and was young again). Here's another: Virginia Mayo. One point of interest for me is that (according to her Wiki) her family's roots in St. Louis date back at least to 1797, when the left bank of the Mississippi was not yet a US possession.

Alright Warspite, you've got me started and I just can't stop. Ava Gardner. She exuded tomboyish charm which for whatever reason really turns me on, and she had the deep voice to go with it. Sophia Loren could do that too (see
Boy on a Dolphin I don't know how Alan Ladd lived through that movie) but she only did on occasion, Ava just couldn't help herself. Ava Gardner:

Well you really should pop into the General Discussion Forum from time to time. We don't bite and even Gorns are welcome [:)]
I think you would like the Australian Beauties thread for some reason - and your postings would be a welcome addition.

I was there a long time ago and nobody appreciated my complete and utter infatuation with Rachel Ward.

Some might think I like older women. They are correct. Women get better with age. Men get hairy backs which makes me want to vomit! That is why I cannot abide fine art films that have Ron Jeremy in them regardless whom the actress might be. [:D]

Say, why didn't they decorate Navy ships with the like (over the camouflage pattern)?

Maybe you should rename that thread non-denominational place of worship.

By the way, Ava Gardner played opposite Grace Kelly (and Clark Gable) in Mogambo, Now Grace Kelly's face appears in the dictionary next to the definition of unbelievably beautiful, but when I watch Mogambo I know who I want to nail and it isn't Grace Kelly (or Clark Gable).
edit: (or an elephant)
second edit: (or a crocodile)
third edit: maybe a hippo

Nah, AB is historical - I think to change its name now would be sacrilege

My brother was able to identify this bird as a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak.

That also solves my identification problem in post #204. That is a female of
that species. Here is a female of my species, my mom in fact.

Cover your children's eyes before reading this post.
St. Louis is near the southernmost extent of their breeding area.

Lizards only have one kind of seizure - you. I think the need for my current signature is passing very quickly. I've been shocked before, though.
