New Patch. Getting a FAILED (draw sprite to buffer) segmentation violation error message and crash when clicking on any HQ and selecting auto assist.

I tested it and seems to only happen with Iron Cross Map Mod turned on.

Just needed to update mod and it works fine now.

The center of the China NATO symbols are just an X in a the unit type box ( hard to explain) It took a longggg time to configure the Game to my specs and it is a great Mod. Any idea of a safe fix ?

Also it shows Iron_ Cross_ Mod Ver 4.4 in the mods view at start up but I thought I had installed Ver 4.6 ?

Again these Mods turn the Strat Comn games into a whole new experience, so good I bought Strat Comn WW I....[;)]

Hello. My Strategic Command WW2 Europe game is running the latest version. I've just installed the mod and I'm getting a 'FAILED(draw_sprite_to_buffer): Segmentation Violation' error when trying to load any scenario. I'm running on a modern laptop with a Ryzen 3500u CPU, 8 GB RAM and Radeon Vega Graphics (2GB ram shared with main memory).

Can anyone assist? The standard game runs fine AFAIK, but only just bought. Thanks in advance.

Hello all - downloaded the IC Mod v4.6 but cannot find installation instructions in the folder. Are they posted somewhere or did I miss something in the download. Thanks

Using the editor with this mod enabled I get a failed draw sprite on map surface segmentation violation error when 3d sprites are turned on? Using Mod 4.6 version.

Try deleting the v4.4 version mod folder and reinstalling v4.6 and then only 4.6 will be listed in the MODS screen, hopefully this helps.

It looks like there is a bug in the code that this mod (Iron Cross Mod) has now exposed.

To work around it for now and until the next game update:

1) try playing with the mod only in NATO counter mode, e.g. 3D units turned off

OR

2) if playing in 3D mode, try setting the LAND COUNTER STYLE to NONE (in the OPTIONS screen), e.g. no discs under the 3D units and that should work to get you past this error

You'll just need to extract it and install it to the following MODS folder on your end, e.g. copy and paste here:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\Mods

When installed the folder paths should look like this:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\Mods\Iron_Cross_Mod_v4-6

After that you'll just need to go to SETTINGS->MODS and turn on the mod (if needed) by ticking off the box next to the listed mod.

Hi Tanaka,

Looks like for now you'll need to edit in NATO counter mode for the mod to work in the Editor until the bug I recently found is corrected.

To do this, try playing the game in NATO counter mode and then this will reset the global setting for the Editor as well.

I think the washed out look and very pale blue seas is intentional??

Personally I prefer a bit more contrast. But not wanting to criticising a great mod and great effort.

I may try and see if I can keep the original map and still have the icon mod.

Yeah, I have this same issue too. The only way I've found to resolve it is to go into settings, click the mod box off and then on again. When the game restarts the proper Soviet unit icons are finally there,

Can someone please tell me how to install this mod - I downloaded game direct from Matrix - there is no install info - not that I find searching their
website, Slitherine's website or just google - get nothing at all
