START OF TURN 49
I am missing Leningrad Front from Turn 49 due to technical difficulties. Not much had happened tho, some defensive positions were taken, the Germans advanced a little bit but not trough our fortifications.

I wonder what the plan was for the panzer lunge to Orel? Seems a bit premature. Still keeps us all guessing what the Axis strategy is for 1942.
At least it saved Budyonny's magnificent mustache.

To be fair, Timoshenko did blame Budyonny for his having to retreat. So Stalin doesnt seem to mind too much. Budyonny on the other hand...Is due for a firing. Just between us tho, Stalin has been looking to replace STAVKA's leader for quite some time as well. So many firing, so little political points.
Edit : Actually I just realized Timoshenko did not yet blame budyonny, that was in a later AAR I had already written haha.

The Germans seems to have decided to attack for all three objectives : Leningrad (Priority 3), Moscow ( Priority 2) and the Oil Fields ( priority 1) is my guess.

Thanks, Kalinin Front is doing alright. I guess since the Germans are not attacking there haha.
