I'm still here. If anybody will notice me.

Cellophane, mister Cellophane
Could have been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
Never know I'm there

I tell you ...

I did notice. [:)]

But I thought it would take some time before we actually got to the part where we needed answers from the Axis. So I thought it better to wait until tomorrow rather than to rush it and not get there anyway.

Don't take your time on my account. Feel free to rush ahead with the next impulse. I'll be happy to maintain a night time vigil, keenly anticipating the opportunity for an Axis answer.

I need a break from resource planning.

I couldn't get it to work with convoy routing. I didn't get the resources transported to add up with the convoys used. So eventually I checked the individual route for each resource. I then found out that the program listed 6 resources as going through one specific sea area but the program only listed 5 as used. Another sea area were the reverse. More convoys marked as used than actually were routed through the sea area.

Argh!

(Two hours spent on getting it right)

So why is the BP lent from USA to France lost? [&:]

There is one unused convoy point in each sea area needed to transport the build point. [&:]

Switching to France as active power solved this one. Lucky that had made a naval with France and that I hadn't ended their step yet. But weird anyway.

Thank you. [:)]

I am now going on a refreshing walk in this fairly warm, but overcast, autumn afternoon.

A sensible idea.

Meanwhile my chubby fingers and small phone made me enter your private AAR. Luckily it was page 1 and I realized in two seconds that I was in wrong place.

No Port Strikes.

A FTR3 fly to the 3-box in the West Med.

A TRS from India sail to East Med loaded with one FTR2.

Lots of convoys and convoy escorts leave port. New convoy route is established through the Central Atlantic.

Allies sends battleships to Cape St. Vincent, Bay of Biscay and the Western Mediterranean.

HMS Ark Royal sail to the 3-box in the Cape St. Vincent.

HMS Furious and HMS Eagle sail for the West Med.

One transport, escorted by HMS Cornwall, leave Casablanca. Will Germany, or Italy, intercept?

Germany does! BB Gneisenau can be disorganized.

After receiving reports that Gneisenau is on interception course (die roll 1) the British transporter seek protection from the battle ship fleet.

Nov/Dec 1940
Impulse: 3

Admiral Campioni, supported by the cream of the Regia Aeronautica remains on patrol in the Western Mediterranean with his small, powerful force.

The Royal Navy split their forces in two - Admiral Somerville's Force H (Furious, Renown, Dorsetshire and Edinburgh (loaded with a division)) is ordered to head east to cut-off any possible retreat by Campioni, while Admiral Philips' 1st Battlecruiser Squadron (Hood, Repulse), reinforced with two carriers (Eagle, Glorious) and HMS Warspite seek out the Italians (while at the same time escorting and Indian Infantry Corps). HMS Dorsetshire races ahead, looking for trouble. There is no land-based aircraft available to help them....

How will the Axis react?

The subs are ordered to remain deep but its all in vain anyway - rolls of 4 and 5 for the Allies and Axis respectively mean no combat here.

The Admiralty's Chief Parrot takes the news well....

Nov/Dec 1940
Impulse: 4

In Cape St Vincent meanwhile another small but deadly Axis naval force, commanded by Admiral Marschall, and consisting of Scharnhort, Gneisenau and Admiral Hipper, lies off Gibraltar safe in the knowledge that they have the might of Fliegerkorps X ready and waiting to pounce.

Undeterred and despite having a rather desperate array of World War I, slow battleships under command (Bretagne, Ramillies and Revenge), Admiral Holland puts to sea aboard his flagship HMS Nelson, and with the carrier Ark Royal and the cruiser Cornwall (escorting an empty TRS) and seeks out the German ships. A small force of five cruisers are also sent to sea to assist the search.

Once again the British Admiral has to put himself in harms way minus air support - what about the Axis?

What boxes can the German Navs and Italian Ftr reach?
