The Germans might as well take those five pilots in the reserve pool and turn them into build points.

3 of those 5 reserve pilots found planes to fly, though not for long against the overwhelming air strength of the allies. The remaining 2 are still in the reserve pool but it's very likely that they will be used to "buy" a MIL next turn. If Germany survives one more turn that is, which I put at 60/40 or 70/30 at this point that they will.

By the way, I have inside knowledge that I used to give these odds. The inside knowledge is that I just finished impulse 4 of the next turn. [:)]
