Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Axis #7. End of Turn Suspense.
And now for end of turn check ... turn ends on a 1 or 2.

Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Axis #7. End of Turn Check.
(1) Turn continues with D10=6 to impulse #190 (Allied #8).
(2) USSR, China & CW are definitely taking land actions.
(3) Not sure about Free France and USA (land or combine?).
(4) Turn (again) has a 20% chance of ending this impulse.

Re: GW Counterfactual Take 3.
Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Allied #4. Allied Naval Command.
(1) Allied Naval Command after getting their requested action type (CW naval) denied again by the Combine Chiefs report back a "Yellow" status to the Chiefs.
(2) The Combine Chiefs in response basically tell Naval Command to "go pound sand" or more accurately "go pound water".
(3) Furthermore, they order Naval Command to optimize production given the current state of the convoy lines and report back within 48 hours on that production.
(4) For the CW they can get 21 of 23 factories producing, 3 of 3 food in flames and no oil used in production except for 2 saved in the UK necessary for full production (i.e., 23 of 23 factories producing).
(5) For the US they can get 43 of 44 factories producing, which the 1 idle red factory just captured in Milan not possible due to enemy ZOC.
(6) The US has 1 non-oil idle RP in the Philippines and an available convoy chain to ship through the Pacific to the US west coast to LA.
(7) However; when tasked to make it so, some junior officer doesn't use the available convoy route but, after multiple requests, either:
(a) ships it through the Gulf of Alaska, instead of the West Coast, and blocks 1 of 6 lend lease BPs to the USSR,
(b) decides to reroute an AUS being sent to Canada via the Pacific the other way through the Atlantic deoptimizing CW production.
(8) So, head of Allied Naval Command, Vice Admiral Greyhound, orders the Philippines non-oil RP "manually" routed at the end of the turn via the available Pacific CP chain.
(9) Also, the junior office who was given several opportunities to do this correctly but kept royally messing it up was reassigned and put in command of the "dog poop" runs across the arctic.

(1) US used the limited air actions of their super combine on impulse #3 and 4 of the 7 air actions of their combine this impulse #8 to fly planes from the US to Europe via Greenland.
(2) The B-24D L4 bomber was able to get from the US to Gibraltar in those 2 air rebases.
(3) Shorter range P-38 fighter wings & A-26B bomber wing got to Saint John's (or adjacent) and then to Greenland with their 2 air rebases.

Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Allied #8. The Eastern Front - Southern Fronts & Middle East.
Azerbaijan 66,75 Middle East. Syria 75,65. End of Impulse.
(1) In reviewing their situation the allies in Southern USSR see a way that Germany can and will isolated all of the Southern Soviet Fronts but moving XIV panzer corps 1-hex southeast.
(2) This will then cut supply 1-hex to the southwest and since the hex, 2-hexes to southeast is German controlled all Soviet units in the south would be isolated and unable to reorg.
(3) There are two hopes for the Soviets that this doesn't happen:
(a) turn ends now (20% chance) or
(b) turn continues for 2 more allied impulses in which case they could transport the embark the cav corps in Arakhan to debark to Baku and then un-isolate all those units by moving 2 hexes west (hex southeast of Georges).
(4) The chance of (b) happening if (a) doesn't is less than 10% (maybe 5%).
(5) So the Soviets in southern USSR have 25 to 30% chance of not ending the turn isolated, flipped and remaining flipped.
(6) Note that the Western allies do an an infinite path skirting along the western shore of the Caspian Sea.
(7) Also, the Western Allies situation in the Middle East is starting to become critical with German and Turkish units flanking west the Soviet Fronts through Turkey and with units about to enter Syria and/or Iraq.

Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Axis #9. Weather & Actions.
(1) Turn from the previous (allied) impulse #8 continues on D10=6 > 2 needed to end.
(2) Beautiful late fall weather turns brutal.
(3) Germany takes a land and Japan passes.

Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Axis #9. Vichy, Italy, Yugoslavia.
(1) Rundstedt, currently (only HQ) in command of all three fronts managed to get 2 (of 3) rails and SP gun div reinforcement.
(a) LVI Mech corps. Railed from Zagreb, Yugoslavia -> Genoa, Italy
(b) Hummel SP gun div. Railed from Warsaw to Turin, Italy.
(2) OOS SS cav corps forced marched, actually forced rode, to E1-Toulouse to reestablish supply to the flipped Vichy tank corps.
(3) Rundstedt (currently HQ in Turin, Italy) establishes a strong outer defense in the Italian & French Alps and extending into the Massif Central Mtns.
(4) Readjustments all on the FLOT from eastern Italy east through Austria and then down to southern Yugoslavia are made.
(5) The goal is to eventually replace stronger units mostly in Yugoslavian Mtns with lower quality second line units to free up these stronger units for service in more active sectors in France and on the Eastern Front.
(6) The Luftwaffe, spread across Western, Eastern Europe, Italy and the Balkans is still formable and a force (defensive & offensive) multiplier.
End of Impulse. Luftwaffe Summary.

Turn 26. Nov/Dec 1943. Axis #9. The Eastern Front.
Finnish Army. End of Impulse. Northern Army Groups. End of Impulse. (1) Lots of attrition in their retreat from Siberia back to the Moscow sector.
(2) And the retreating Germany Army Groups are sill a ways from safety and will likely experience more attrition.
(3) Also of concern is the BIG GAP between the Northern & Southern Army Groups with multiple Soviet fronts in hot pursuit of these retreating Germany Army Groups.
(4) The Northern Army Groups did manage to get 1 rail and 1 SS panzer corps reinforcement (II SS Panzer corps was railed from Warsaw to Moscow).
