Akyab falls. 800 AV Chinese Corp providing the muscle, British and Commonwealth troops fairly beat up.

Thanks, Dave. Just needed a wee break, plus more family time. Back to troubling the Allies.[:)]

Now we need for Jocke to resume his AAR. [:)]

A risky move...there is a large AP fleet here, now (not pictured). The Maya along with two destroyers are going in.

Very risky, as this is a major Allied Air Base and 75 Fighters will hopefully be providing LRCAP for the Maya and her destroyer escorts.

Too long, have the Allies been allowed to march forward.

Surprise, I hope, is on my side.

Yay! Lowpe is back.

May 12, 1943

Nasty heavy weather rolls in, and the Maya and company decide to hide in it for another day. Meanwhile the Allied transport fleet is unaware...like sheep to the slaughter. Muhaaha!

Probably the opposite will happen, and the Maya will stop short 5 hexes away and get attacked by waves of Allied planes...but, hope springs eternal for a nasty sharp fight amongst the transports.

Jocke flipped the turn very quick, he suspects nothing!

But it will be another hour or two until I can run the turn,.,.,.what fate befell the mighty Maya?

Batter, batter, miss!

Maya is a day too late....

The Weakened CAP will fail here...

They miss...

More Mitchells', intercepted by only a lonely Oscar. They pack a mighty fierce nosecone of 50 cals.

More planes, and heavily escorted too.

Another group of six Mitchells and this time they hit the Maya six times...with fifty calibers.

And, then the attacking planes disappeared....right when they had the advantage.

Elsewhere the Allies lead with their tanks...sigh.

I feel so silly for getting the ships mixed up.[:(]

Off for an upgrade...Manila I think.

PDU off, and the Oscar IIb has to do these kind of fights. I have a Sentai of Tojo IIb at Rabaul, but with their hideously inaccurate cannons they probably would have done worse.

Think what George might have done. Or even the A6M5c.
