Best of luck Kristian!

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: USS America

Well, the verdict from the doctor is that I may not have pneumonia. [:D]

It's either that or just bronchitis, and the treatment is the same for both.... azithromycin. Knocked out the pneumonia I had years ago in the Navy in just a few days. I'm on the road to recovery! [:)]

Thanks for all the well wishes, Brothers!

Good news Mike!

In another few years, his "friend" will be wearing a bikini -- an they'll have other things on their minds besides lounging around the pool.

Hi all,

BTW, is the federal US government shutdown affecting any of our "over the big pond" thread brothers?

Leo "Apollo11"

Yes.

My passport application is on hold -- bad timing on my part. Also, a close friend is on furlough and burning through his vacation time. All-in-all, just about no discernible impact to daily life.

Another couple of months and things might get a bit more troublesome.

Regards,
Feltan

Leo "Apollo11"

Yeah, I live on a USAF base. Most services are cancelled. Lots of my friends are on furlough, the active duty folks have had all training and travel cancelled. Of course most of things had already been in effect prior to the "slimdown" due to sequestration. The pool, library , recreational facilities and similar facilities have been closed since January. Now things like the commissary are totally shut down , medical is pretty much emergencies and mission essential only. Fortunately Congress protected military pay and retirement pay comes from a different accounting system. And we've not been evicted from base housing (even though we do pay rent).

Gonna break down and go see a doctor today about this crud that won't go away. I fear I'm developing sinus and lung infections. [:(]

Go and see a physician, dude. That other doctor you have around there might be able to treat you effectively (probably moreso), but it's easier to get antibiotic scripts (if warranted) from your physician. [;)]

Yeah, I guess you're right. If it were only kennel cough.... [:D]

We may have to have that talk about maybe having you put down. I know where you live so no problem. Anyone else feeling fail while we're at it? I'm here to help.[:)]

Like the house and the pool pic. You have a chocolate labrador? I knew you were good people. Gonna be hard to put you down now. Like Old Yeller and Marley combined.

He's actually mostly black, with a hint of chocolate in the sunlight, lab/pitbull mix. The only real pit in him is a wider head. [:D]

Good looking dog either way! Love to have a mix. You have a healthier animal in the long run. Had a yellow lab/golden retriever mix live to a ripe old age of 16. Up to about 15.5 years she would still chase a tennis ball around. Maybe not as fast, but still was OCD about it!
