Last semester I led a graduate course on Seapower at the Patterson School. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity for a 90 minute discussion with Rear Admiral Thomas Moore, PEO Aircraft Carriers. After the discussion, Admiral Moore agree to a short podcast conversation with one of our students. Because of a variety of technical problems, the podcast wasn't available until recently.

But here it is. Enjoy!

Hi ya, Mikey. Tithe, yeah.

Found some absolutely righteous stuff for a rum punch. It's an Italian soda and comes from Emilia Romagna. Mostly pomegrantie, and blood orange, but they blackberrys in it and whatever seems to work. Big thing is, they add ginger, real ginger. This ain't your coca-cola soda, pal. The ginger works so well with the fruit and if ya add just a blop of the utter sweetness of "real" rum, you got some serious tastiness going on.

The Italian fruits are tart, sweet and tasty. Different from pineapple, more subtle. I've been making Pain Killers with this stuff, and a bit of Coco Lopez, for a while. The cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardomom, works sooo well with the ginger.
