Christmas of 2012 is more likely. It will be fascinating to compare this game with Time of Fury and how the two compare, and now that Commander Europe at War has been upgraded to v2.0 the competition will be intense. I just hope this game will not get too bogged down in detail and ignore the bigger picture.
Please do not take this as a snide comment, because I really would like to know, what exactly is the "bigger picture" that you are talking about?

I hope Marklv is not talking about the Wastelands game Time of Fury, if it is anything like SOP by them everybody should bury their head in the sand, they still have not got the last patch right as far as I can tell, I had to remove it from my computer after I had installed their latest patch, Matrix as I have said before IMHO is not a good company, why? they support some poor companies like Wastelands and in my opinion do not stand behind what these poor programmers put out on the market. You will have to excuse me for my comments it is a queasy feeling I get in the pit of my stomach when I throw money away like I did on Storm over the pacific. Do not buy that product [TOF] as you will be one sick person when they try to patch up their many mistakes.

Since I'm retired now, I'll actually have the time to get into this monster when it is released... so no longer any reason to hold things up on my account [:D]
Seriously, be patient, I couldn't imagine another developer doing a better job on this project... and I know no other developer would have been as open and transparent for player input and critiques. Personally, I think it has been fascinating to follow the development process in such incredible detail.
It will be done when it's done... and hopefully without serious problems born of haste in response to criticism.
Warning though... I'm 63.. and we'll need this done sometime within the next 20 years or I'm going the miss the release... what a bummer that would be! [:D]

Thanks for the heads up on TOF and SOTP, Bo. Matrix is allowed some mistakes as everyone is, but we should require them to learn from their mistakes and not repeat them to our financial waste.

HansHafen thanks for the reply and your concern. Maybe some posters think I was being a little rough on Wastelands and Matrix and if so I apologize to those posters, but if you go to the posts on SOP and read them you will see what I am talking about. I am not saying Wastelands did not try to fix their mistakes with patches I am saying the patches screwed up the game so bad that I had to remove the game from my computer, a waste of good money, and I refuse to give Wastelands another dime of my money no matter how good they think their game is.[SOP and TOF} To take it one step farther I could get no decent reply from Wastelands for awhile until I went to Matrix and asked them to get involved and have Wastelands answer our concerns, well giving Matrix a bravo on that one they might have said something to Wastelands[not sure of that] about the patch problem because right after that we got a post from Wastelands, a post with no solutions just excuses and it would be cleaned up in no time, well a month went buy with no answers and that's why I have a beef with Matrix, they did nothing constructive after that. READ THE POSTS only if you are considering buying TOF. Be forewarned!

Well now Steve if you would kindly speed up the completion of this game maybe just maybe you could afford to do your whole condo over not just the bathroom and kitchen.[:D]

Actually our entire renovation plan will cost well over $100,000. And we will need some royalties from MWIF for the 'over' portion.
1 - retile small lanai
2 - enclose large lanai
3 - remodel kitchen (keeping most of our appliances - which are new) but relocating the range and washer/dryer. The later requires running new electric and plumbing lines.
4 - remodel guest bathroom
5 - remodel closet in guest bedroom
6 - remodel closet in master bedroom and remodel master bathroom
7 - install tile throughout entrance hallway
8 - recarpet entire apartment
9 - replace 13 jalousie windows with awning windows
I have been getting most of this started: making decisions, talking to contractors, and getting bids. But my wife retires at the end of the month, so she will dealing with all the details come July 1.
Half our furniture is over 20 years old; and the other half is over 30 years old. So, most of that is going to be replaced too. We'll keep the new TV and Lounger (chair) that were bought this year (the old ones died pitiful deaths).
---
I had a revelation when we moved from Philly to Hawaii. We had been fixing up our house in Philly gradually over a period of 18 years, but never got is completely done until we needed to sell it. And once we finished everything, it sold within a month because it looked so great. I just shook my head in wonder that we had lived in it not completely finished for so long and only enjoyed how great it could be for a few weeks.
Hence my decision to get our current condominium fixed up - now that we have the finances in place for my wife to retire. Might as well enjoy the apartment if we both are going to be home all day (I work at home).
