But something strange happens[&:]. Two units move only 46 miles south and they movement was canceled. Lucky they remain in strategic mode so can continue movement tomorrow.
Had that happen in China quiet frequently on move mode. Reported as a bug but it was never solved.
I hope tomorrow they will rail to bangkok. One unit is small AA unit but second one is crashed ID. I hope Docup dont see them and will not bomb them.
Damn partisans.

22-23 December 1944
Thailand
Pisanuloke captured by allies. When they attack there was 70 Japanese soldiers in base[:D]
Over 100 4E bombers attack my boys that stuck on rails south of Pisanuloke. 1300 KIA but they dont knock me out from start mode and all units are now safe in Bangkok.
Ambon Area.
Allies land troops in dot base 160nm north of Ambon. I was suspecting that sooner o later.
It is later
Ki-83 sweep. 90 fighters where intercepted by 27 F6F-3.
20 enemy fighters shot down for no loses[:D]
Clean battle only one enemy fighter was able to shot toward Ki-83 but he miss
Docup don like Ki-83. We try to figure out code name for Ki-83
I vote for "ex-wife" Docup "fu*k me"

Hellcat is just completely outdated by mid-late 44. I used them together with the P38s as ablative escort and on CVEs. DOCUP will need Spit VIIs/Corsairs and Jugs to deal with those sweeps. Once he sets it up correctly he should be getting about 1-1.

100% agree
In my tests i made few week ago against Spit VIIs+, Corsairs and Jugs, Ki-83 (I use ~75XP+ pilots for allies and 65-70XP for Japan) Ki-83 was able to getting 1:1 sometimes 2:1. But it was always against 200+ enemy CAP.
When i was able to find CAP ~100 planes Ki-83 (especial 200th Sentai with 97 planes) usually end with good 3:1 ratio or better.
Biggest threat for Ki-83 usually was Spitfire. He climb fast and was able to gain dive bonus, P-47 is also deadly but he usually was not able to climb fast enough to have dive bonus in decent numbers. Corsairs is deadly but only last version that can go higher than Ki-83
Still it is best what Japan will have in this game. ?There will be no Ki-94-II in this game

I was also in the position that once the Ki-83 started arriving I could knock out the factories. Prioritized hitting Ki-83s and Shinden factories! After that it was the Frank-R factories.

The real import of the Ki-83 is its range. This changes the game. No area is safe, and every important base must be large and well protected. it leads to massing of force in a big way for the Allies. This narrows the channels of movement forward. Getting it this early will be a tremendous change in the game. Just look at Mr Kane v Greyjoy. Nick had to deal with the Ki-94 too, but even the Ki-83 and Ki-84r sweeps had him cowering and unable to protect his bases effectively in spite of some great landings in Malaya and Sumatra.

24 December 1944
Near Ambon
Batjan is name of dot base allies have unloaded last turn.
I suspected that base will auto switch to allied hands in this turn so i have ordered sweeps. 120 Franks sweep, them meet over 40 enemy fighters(F6F, P-40, Spit VIII). 36 never back home. 4 Franks lost.
Sadly none of 200 bombers i have decide to fly against enemy ships
I see small AC TF near Saumlaki. 200 planes. Not big enough to move KB.
Singer
Enemy sub hit medium tanker near Singer. Lucky no fuel loaded. Tanker will survive
Actually losing tankers in not a problem. I have more than enough.
Palembang is producing to slow. I have now 300k tanker capacity in Singer and less that 100k fuel to load. Palembang is almost empty, less that 30k of fuel and 50k oil in Sumatra

At nice problem in late 44. By this point in mine with Jocke he was systematically taking out oil with B-29s and moving to cut off sea travel through the South China Sea.
What is Docup focusing on with his? He has to be hitting something, right?

Major operations.
Thailand.
In next weeks will flood central Thailand until he will meet next line of resistance in Vietnam.
Ambon area.
He capture Ambon and in next few days Namlea. And last turn that Dot base.
I think he will try to push there. Everything he capture now is maxes and heavily CAPed. I counted 1000+ fighters and 400 bombers in those places
North New Ginuea.
His boys are days from Hollandia.
Pacific.
Everything SE of Truk is in allied hands
Marianas
No ops there but last weeks i see that Docup is reckoning them. Nothing big, one base at once but because i checking detection levels of my important bases constantly i have notice that.
North Pacific.
Lot of ASW actions there. I am noticing major Tanker and Supply transport traffic but so far no combat ship concentration.
China
Docup start small offensive in North.

But your industry/oil is intact in the DEI that is in range of his B-29s? Is he using them at all?

Not much. He try few times day raids but he was cough in CAP trap in Balikpapan and he lose 40 Bombers. Over Balipapan that day he get trough CAP but he made mistake that day and instead of wells he go for refineries. . So far nigh raids only cost him bombers but no oil hits.
So far Borneo, Java and Sumatra oil wells are intact.
It all was before P-51D era but so far he don`t use them to open path to B-29s.
PS. He also destroy oil wells Sakhalin area
Just in case all major oil centers have ~200plane CAP with top planes and pilots.

Japan has tons of refineries. Not so many oil wells. Refineries can't make fuel without oil.

27 December 1944
Thailand
So far quiet. I am sure Docup will move forward soon. If already not moving.
North China
Docup move against me 4000AV army. Will see how they will fight against 1200AV Japanise troops in x3 terrain behind for 5
South China
Japanese 200AV Tanks enter Liuchow from East. Tomorrow they will support river shock attack of 1100 Japanese AV from South. Base have 10000 defenders (3 units). Expected force there is 250AV with low forts.
Namlea
Base fall to allied hands. Capturing Ambon and Namlea took Docup ~80 days
Ambon have now 200+ CAP and sea is protected by CA or BB SAG
