I've started an AAR vs the AI as the Western Powers over on the WW1 forum. So you can all see my spectacular fall from grace [:D] I'm only two months in and it looks like the French are collapsing already...

Tithe and good morning. After I finish my coffee , it will be time for me to visit my cable commpany and turn in my modem. We see if I have any luck on the road getting this $%^&*%$##^ of a laptop to sync up with wifi and hotel modems. It never seems to work.

Good luck. Wifi at hotels usually costs extra.

In the rooms, yes, but there's usually a WiFi hotspot in the lobby or restaurant area downstairs in most hotels that can be accessed free of charge. Usually.

WRT those noisy toys-we've initiated a response plan to dissuade relatives from buying noisy toys for the kids. We simply ensure that those toys are to be used at the offender's residence (e.g., grandma or nana's place). When the kids visit and fill the household with an ear-splitting cacophony for several days on end, that usually gets the point across.

That and duct taping over the speakers-that seems to work well too.
