My heavy airpower in greece really takes its toll on him and hurts his dreaded arty. That stuff is what really wins the war for the nazis.

We took oslo!

But then abu came into 1941 and the soviets out numbered him and he decided he could not beat that. The mod we used from von altair (i think) threw it all out of wack.

House rules in our next set of games

1) No Allied invasions of norway until jan 1941

2) starting in 1941 allies may make 1 raid(para or seaborne) (para,elite infantry) (max 10 Units) every 6 months. after 1943 it is total war. Expception, if Axis control 2 of the following cities in Russia: Stalingrad, Leningrad, and Moscow, then the allies are not bound to any limits on invasions or paradrops.
3) allies may level bomb germany whenever
4) allies may invade germany whenever after 1941
5) germany may invade england whenever

6) allies can do whatever they want in north africa




JAPAN
6) Japan may not invade india till singapore has fallen
7) japan may not invade austraila unless new guinea falls
8) japan may not invade US until pearl or midway falls
9) us can not invade japan until iwo jima or formosa has been captured

Pacific players need to try to follow island hoping tradition of pacific war



99) total war in west if Germany controls 2 of the 3 (moscow, leningrad,stalingrad) Allied player can go all out

Multiple units are more difficult to surround, which denies him some of the possible encirclement bonus. On the other hand, if you build large units, he has to leave the roads in order to surround them. I played this only once, as the German, and leaving the roads costs a lot of AP and therefore time. The way it looks now his big tank units will overrun your weak units on the roads and then move on, while his slower units (mounted and foot infantry) will take care of your units off the road, i.e. clean up what's left. That probably doesn't slow him down much. I'd go with larger units.

This time i started my road of salvation at the start of the game. It took me until last game to realize that is where the allied support comes from. SO i will have a road up there in 2 turns that will give me 75% of any supplies so i can stop building supplies and focus on defenses. I have arty in the hills like you guys said. Also those 2 forward chinese regular rifle units are horse mounted so they will be more mobile :) Hopefully mobile enough to suprise the japs.

A mounted SMG unit that sneaks up on that city in the northeast (I forgot the name) could really piss him off. Especially since at first he will see only the borders move eastward, without knowing what's coming his way. Even a one-horse, one-man unit could force him to react to that threat. Perhaps it won't slow him down by much, but trying it is very cheap for you. And if you invest some more troops, you might even get lucky and take the city by surprise.

My french defense is much more extensive this time. I had supplies up i had good defense but that damn'd blitz card kills me.

I have quite the FLAK wall up ready to kill those fighters. I did a good job of keeping the german fighters away from this area. And this southern build up just causes him to attack from the north (low countries) more.

I've killed 3 of his precious tanks. But i am losing too much too fast to do much good though i do wind up delaying him a couple more turns from taking paris.

My bb's bombard norway i want to invade since its 1941 now. Next turn the germans hit me wiht a 3 BB battlefleet and sink my small navy and the transports with all hands aboard..
