I've heard you can see the B-29 if you make an appointment. Need to check that out.

That black DR-I is really sweet......

That Caproni is fascinating. It almost looks like someone cobbled it together in someone's barn with a kit ordered from the Sears catalog.

I have my own museum. It's called the "Museum of Interstate Flight to Avoid Prosecution." The first visit is great, but you don't dare go back.

That's not a "museum." That's a "shrine."

Did I see a F-16 indoors or did I misidentify something?

What took the cake for me was that German DR-1 painted black. That was awesome!!!

no F-16. There's an F-4, F-14 and F-104 though in the photos. [:)]

Could have swore I saw an F-16 from the back. But I guess that is sort of a bad guess anyways since I highly doubt a still active fighter like the F-16 would be allowed to be a museum piece.

I promised myself once I got a good job that at the one year anniversary point as a present to myself I am going to find and do one of the 'Fighter pilot for a day' programs. Early next spring hopefully I will get to do it.

There are lots of F-16's as gate sentries, in museums and in the bone yard at Davis-Montham AFB. Let's not forget that the plane came into service in the early 1970's. Some have even been scrapped! Every US fighter (except for the F-22) came into service in the 1970's! Some , like the F-14, have come and gone. Others , like the F/A-18, started life as the F-17 (competeing against the the F-16, and losing). With the exception of the C-17,F-22 and certain models of the F/A-18, everything the US flies is old! I don't recall an F-104. There was an F-5 hanging from the ceiling of the main gallery. If I remember right, it's an F-5A.

There was a F-104 there two years ago . I used to visit it frequently when I was a member of the MOF. (it's a truly gorgeous airplane!).[:D]
