In that respect we are just like other games, sometimes the bird gets the worm, sometimes it gets you [X(]

Time to get caught back up here a bit. As Rick said we've been busy. Thst's still no reason not to due our daily routine.

Here is a screen shot of the campaign selections page. The campaigns are listed in order of the number of battles in them. As you can see from this shot there are two campaigns that have a single battle in them.

That allows for some different options than just making them a single scenario. Depends on what the goal is whether you make it a campaign or a scenario.

Good Hunting.

Like there are two camapaigns with a single battle in them there are also two campaigns with 8 battles in them.

These are predone campaigns that have been playtested. As you can see from the SS the top button is for anyone wanting to do a random campaign. If you want a random campaign you simply click the button here and you are on your way.

Good Hunting.

MR,
Is the random campaign generated by the computer or do you set the parameters, such as year, geographic location, troop type, etc?

You need to ask J2D but I think it can be set up any way you like.

Good Hunting.

The RBG and RBC haven't changed much since PCK. There are threads in the old forum about the details with screenshots.

Basically you pick a map and that will give you the season based on what that map was dated for. Then you can change the year. Then you can change just about everything else based on Month and Year.

EDIT here, looks more like post 26

For Random Campaigns, you have a series of potential choices. You can choose from several 'formations' Infantry or Panzer Divisions, or a Russian tank corp. these selections are set up for different time periods, you can select how many battles you want play within that time frame. The computer will then create the Random campaign.

You can also design your own Random Campaigns, though this isn't a trivial undertaking, it's certainly doable.

Thanks,
Rick

Thanks guys. I just looked at the link from J2D and that post really showed the system well. It looks really sharp.

I am looking forward to playing around with it.

Since we went a couple of days without updating this thread I'll do a series of SS on how to get out of a HT and into a building.

Here we have the HT with the squad inside sitting next to the building.

We select the squad and tell them to unmount, to exit the HT.

After we order them out of the HT they are sitting very close to the building.

The pink line shows us where the squad may enter without a movement order.

With the building selected we tell them to enter and they have gotten out of the HT and entered the building.

When moving a vehicle has a chance to bog. If it does it applies the same restrictions as taking a track hit. The vehicle display shows it the same as well.

Good Hunting.

Unlike track hits which are permanent in the game you can have a vehicle unbog. When it does the track hit indicator goes away.

Good Hunting.

You might also notice that the Track hit icon is shaded halfway as if buried in some reddish mud.

Thanks

I didn't notice that about the icon, Rick. Thanks for pointing that out. Nice little detail.

The model looks great. Really sharp job.

MR, thanks for the shots for unloading and dashing into the nearby house. Approximately how far can you be from the house and still enter without a special order to do so? I would guess that would save time and perhaps save casualties if you could just make it as a continuation of the unloading from the halftrack.

As to the bogging, are there any orders to try and unbog that might improve your chances, such as reversing? Or, are you just waiting while the game determines a percentage of chance for unbogging?
