Here's the latest with this morning's progress. Basically I have all the sides for the Luftwaffe completed which I think I'll be needing and most of the tops.
I also have good news. Dali has kindly given me permission to use data from War in the West to help fill out my mod. So hopefully that will save a LOT of time. Of course his name will be figuring prominently in the credits. Slowly but surely I'm getting toward a beta one of these days. [:)]

GC, fantasy scenarios usually are not my piece of cake, but I must say you got an interesting approach to the alternate reality topic here.
That said, most of all you are a true artist. It is very impressive what you are able to accomplish with just a few pixels.
Amazing! [&o]

Many thanks LoBaron! I can't really claim much credit for the plane sides but the tops are all my doing. [:)]

When I try to run the scenario (A true work of love)
the "New" battleships have no side illustration; it's just blank.

Hi ulysisgrunt,
What scenario are you trying to run? Are you talking about Plan 8-8-8 "light" which I had put up on my Google site a while back?

Hmmm. I just downloaded the scenario myself and installed it per the directions in my readme and it seems to be working ok. In what screen are you missing the side illustration? Did you place the ship sides in the appropriate art folders? Can you perhaps post a screenshot?

You're most welcome Dali, and thank you for allowing me to use data from War in the West! It is making life infinitely easier for me so far. [&o]

Many thanks for your care and attention. I did not install the graphics properly; now it works fine!
I particularly like the Dutch battle cruisers!
Are the Germans in this scenario or another?
Many thanks

Hi ulysisgrunt,
Unfortunately no Germans in the "lite" version. Just the addition of a number of BBs and BCs for both the IJN and Allies. Let me know if you run into any other issues. [:)]

Hi Gary
Just downloaded the scenario 888 light from the website above
It appears that there is no main armament for the St Andrews class BBs . Does not have an armament description or a penetration rating even though the are 6 front and 3 rear guns
Could be my installation but its strange that that is the only data missing that I can see.

Thanks GrimOne. I apologize for the inconvenience. I've uploaded a new version 1.2 just now to correct the issue. Thanks for letting me know. [:o]

Gary,
As an active War Plan Orange player who is about to take the plunge into WitP-AE, I'm following this thread with interest, because it appears that you have successfully continued the "big gun" concept into a fun and plausible 1940s scenario.
One minor suggestion I have (and there may be more once I get comfortable with WitP-AE and delve deeper into your mod): The Indefatigable class battle cruiser HMAS Australia was the pride of that nation's fleet. There were some hard feelings when the (albeit obsolete) BC was stricken and scuttled as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty - the Aussies didn't think they should have lost their only capital ship due to a treaty which they didn't sign. But with the absence of the Treaty, I would think that the BC would have survived at least into the late 1920s. She probably would have been long-since retired by 1941, but would she have been replaced? Perhaps by a newer model British BC?
WPO also had the BC New Zealand transferred to her namesake by 1922 as well. If this happened in real life there probably would be a similar situation to what I just described above. Just an interesting and fun what-if.
Enjoying following your progress!
