This week "Korsun Pocket" a great operational strategy game on a great battle on the East Front. I bought this game back in 2003 at Fry's Electronic's, back when you could visit a store to buy your games and meet some great gamers! [:D] (boy, I sure miss that [:(]). I haven't play it in a long time but what I remember I enjoyed...highly recommended and really on the cheap! [:)]

First time on "Deal of the Week", the classic "Starships Unlimited v3" that came out in 2005. From the screenshots, graphically it looks quite good! [:)] I am definitely purchasing this one! Anyone have alot of playing time with this one? I'm also looking forward and saving up for the upcoming "Distant Worlds: Universe"!! [8D]

For the first time on Deal of the Week, "Napoleon's Campaigns"! [:)] Over the past year I've been reading about the Napoleon era. In the past I was not that interested but now I am. I'm picking this one up today...the map is beautiful and so much historical content!

This week's "Forge of Freedom" was the first one offered on "Deal of the Week" about a year ago, it's still a solid game. The boxed edition also comes with a printed manual [:)]...I snapped this one up last year! [:D]

Still like this game. My ACW opponents want to play Grigsby;s WBTS more often. I'm hoping with FOF on sale, maybe they'll be interested in trying a different title.

"War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition" makes it's second appearance on "The Deal of the Week". This is a very complex game but worth every penny. If you want to learn a complex war game, this would be one of the games to learn!
I hope in the future we some games on sale that have not been on the "The Deal of the Week" [:)]

"Carriers at War" makes it's second appearance on "The Deal of the Week". This timeless classic (2007) of operational carrier warfare, at this price, is a must have! [:)]

i am pleased Carriers at war is on sale - i missed it last time round. Just wondering what games have not yet been on sale at all/?

Anyone have any idea about the resolution in Carriers at War? Gonna wild guess it as fixed 1024x768, but can it be played windowed?

Does Carriers At War support widescreen resolutions? Does it run on Win 8 64 bit?

the game offers windowed mode which works fine - just tested it.
also the games default is the 1024x768,- which looks fine on my wider screen laptop, but whats better is that if you select advance options, you can manually enter whatever resolution you want - seems like the best option any game could offer. The game is running superb on my win 7 64bit laptop with 1366x768
