Light Tank T-18 - 868(???) tanks

The tanks-encyclopedia article says that all were retired either before 1932 or soon afterwords. It also says that about 200 were taken out of depots and upgraded to M standard (with the 45mm gun) and these were the ones that saw action against the Germans.

By the beginning of 1938, the Red Army had 868 T-18 (including T-18M MC-1 Model 1938).

No, later, most part of these tanks was used in the construction of fortified zones on the western border.

About mortar units

After acceptance on arms 120-mm mortar in 1938, were formed by the first separate mortar battalions in the Red Army

Staff of a separate mortar battalion. 1941.
Headquarters (30 people).
Three mortar battery (each 90 people and 12 - 120-mm mortars)
Transport company (50 people).

Total - 36 120-mm mortars.
