I was planning to have 7th Independent Army fall back to the spot north of Lake Ladoga where there is only 3 hexes.

Might be a good idea for future planning to assign the 7th army to the Urals front if it is going to be static for a few years. The admin point cost sucks though.

Comrades the mighty soviet air force will be spending the next few months screening industry in the back and reinforcing itself. It appears the axis have been probing are rear industry and that I will put an end to. My other focus over the next few months is fleshing out Moscow Air Command so comrade Drakken will see air benefits. Comrade pyscho and doctorking your not going to be getting much air help in the near future other then recon. Come late fall 1941 I will move the air most likely south for winter counter offensives. This leaves the north with not much help in the near future but comrade doctorking once we have some trained up fresh units you will get my attention.

General, the encirclement at Smolensk is unacceptable. It threatens Moscow considerably. The German encircled all your defensive position in and around Smolensk. If we loose those encircled armies, we loose the whole defense of Moscow. I am considering sending reinforcement from the Southern and Northern Front to help remedy the situation. But those reinforcement wont arrive until a few turn if we take them, and it will weaken our two other fronts.


To: Northern and Southern Front Commanders

The 19th Army along with part of the 12th Army's mechanized and Armored Division and the 38th Army ( currently under STAVKA but was intended for the south, wich are currently refitting) in the South
And every division under the Ilmen lake in the North.

Are being considered to reinforce the Central front.
Maybe we can put some pressure on the Germans by attacking in Odessa. Push along the line if they dont have much troops stationed there. See if you can get some recon in the area.

All rear area troops are being re-deploy to Moscow.

Counter-attack east of Velikie Luki? Looks like we could get two infantry divisions in there. That would distract them a little.

I could certainly spare some guys to head south.

Maybe you can cut off that big mess of German armor to the east of Smolensk, too. There's a couple of spots with defenses less that 15. Just sayin'

Northern Commander :

Prepare a list of all divisions and / or armies that you could give without putting yourself too much in trouble, and I will take it into consideration.
Just keep in mind, we need a lot of troops to go protect the road to Moscow so..keep that in mind, that Im going to make some hard decision here, for everyone.

I see they're across the Luga at the northern end. I could send probably 4 or 5 rifle divisions that I was going to send into the swamps north of Velikie Luki plus releasing the three of my divisions that are still in the Moscow region. Depends on how important holding Leningrad is to our overall strategy. I know it is a pain to lose it but I haven't seen a game yet where it's been held until the first winter. Makes you wonder what kept the Germans out historically.

Take the 128th Rifle and 202nd Motorized from 11th Army, 1st Leningrad from Novgorod, 10th Rifle from 8th Army and 126th Rifle SW of Novgorod.

Alright sounds good. I will wait for Psych0 answer on how much reinforcement he can send to Center and I shall do my turn and establish the objective for this turn.

Alright well, we are not getting any answer from Drakken or Psych0 so we will go along without them.

Reinforcement bound to Moscow has been move by me.

All troops under STAVKA near Kursk has been marched to Moscow. Except for the 230th Rifle Div, who is defending Dnepropetrovsk.
Additional troops were taken and reformed under STAVKA's command from the Northern Front.

All reinforcement are currently bound for the defense of Moscow.
Turn done.

My apologies, I was away from the computer. And it seems it has gone real bad on the Centre.

I knew I should have retreated a few hexes back...

Yeah its pretty fucking bad dude. haha. I am bringing you all the reinforcement I can possibly grab but it will take a few turns to arrive, They will have to be use for the defense of Moscow...In early August... [X(]

(Comrade of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics !
The gates of Moscow are opens, but the hearth is still intact. Our troops are encircled, and the generals responsible for this have already been caught and put into arrest.
But in spite of this set back, all is not lost. We have reinforcement coming from the North, South and East.
Now we need to ask ourselves, do we try to get our armies out of the pocket, or do we retreat to the Suburbs of Moscow ? )


We also need to discuss the eventuality of Moscow falling. I dont want anyone freaking out. If it happens, we will retreat and hold new defensive position. And we will wait, for winter is coming !
